Anyone else have flashbacks to the 80s when the (mythical) evangelicals wanted to ban naughty words in music? Democrats used to be against such things...

Wrong. Democrats Fritz Hollings and Tipper Gore were leading the charge back in the 80’s.

Um, Al Gore’s wife was at the forefront of this.
I'm aware. That's why I called them (mythical) evangelists. Outside of Tipper there was no such movement (which was a ploy to seem "moderate"). Didn't stop Democrats at the time saying Republicans wanted to form a religious theocracy.

Do you think democracy hypocrisy is new?

Should Axl’s anti-cop lyrics in that one balance out the ones against blacks, gays, and foreigners in the media’s eyes?

It is a trans professor at Barnard College at Columbia. It never completed its requirements for a Master's Degree (in English) It wrote several books about being trans and a few novels.

It is stupid as shite.

Here is an example of how NYC Elites understood America even back in the day. Col Sanders on What's My Line LINK

Man I have been wondering when Skynyrd will get canceled....I love that live Oakland video you just screenshotted.... can't believe it is still on YouTube.

I know one documentary said the record company forced the rebel flag on them, to sort of help their marketing/ southern brand....

they were like...ok whatever.

The Stones no longer perform Brown Sugar at their concerts. "Too insensitive" to descendants of hot, juicy, ripe and delicious slave girls.

The modern day Democrat Party is Ernest “Fritz” Hollings. Pro racial segregation, anti 1st Amendment, pro-cancel culture.

They tried to cancel Cash back in the 60s with songs like the ballad of Ira Hayes and man in black. It didn't work.
