Not sure what else he could have done. Seems like all the world leaders were in on it. Imagine the backlash had he fired that little prick. The media would be calling Trump a murderer.

The dude finally got the spotlight that he so desired and he wasn't going to turn loose of it... It was more that than anything else... He has participated in exercises his entire career and has been told to sit down or "we can't do that" when he suggested some of the crazy shite we saw this last year... He was trying to validate his existence more than anything else...

fricker should be drawn and quartered...

Trump made some poor choices in who he trusted. That really seemed to be his Achilles heel. Mattis, pence, fauci all immediately come to mind.

Trump’s biggest mistake was believing anyone inside the beltway was interested in doing the right thing.

It's amazing how they talk about alpha male this, alpha male that but cower from Dr. Fauci like he's a fricking supervillian and act like wearing a mask during a pandemic is some huge inconvenience that paralyzes you with fear of government takeover.

Fauci is a super villain. He enabled the destruction of the US economy. We are still reaping the results. He perpetrated multiple falsehoods upon the public for political and personal gain.

Wearing a mask isn’t some “huge inconvenience.” But it is an unnecessary inconvenience. It was political artifice. You don’t have to admit it. We know it whether you admit it or not.

Seems to me that Trump stayed firm on his stance while fauci was the one that flip flopped. And as soon as his stance strayed the tiniest bit away from Trump, the left wing mafia jumped all over it.

It harmed America the most. Trump let the wolf into the house with the piggies and by the time everybody realized that, it was too late and Trump was powerless to remove Fauci without provoking a big backlash that would ruin the election.

So you wanted Trump to ignore the man that was considered to be the pre-eminent authority on an unfolding pandemic?

By the time he knew, the media had already anointed Fauci as God.

Your take is a revisionist history imho.

Your illogical approach illustrates your level of TDS.

Trump has some faults...this isn’t one imho.

All correct.

Not putting Fauci on the Coronavirus task force would be like excluding the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from the planning of the Iraq War.

Trump did eventually remove Fauci from the Coronavirus task force. He should have fired him in April. But it would have only begun another impeachment.

The TDS is strong with you.

Trump seems to love him some Trump, but you are trying to pigeonhole a narrative that doesn’t jive with reality. Trump was on TV 24/7 and twitter just as often. Your assertion is lacking.

The Federal government set the guidelines but let's be real here. Blumpf or no Blumpf we were all at the mercy of the local municipalities and their policy makers. Just hypothetically if Blumpfffffffffff were able to convince the CDC to change their guidelines to be more appropriate (shelter if you're old, open up the schools) the state and local policies would not have changed materially.

Maybe. The CDC provided cover for the local governments. Even the restrictive states have followed now that the CDC has loosened restrictions. But the election is over, too. So you’re probably right.

Being scared is what defines y'all.

The height of hypocrisy here. People like you see white supremacists behind every window, so much so that there's a new false flag every week to try and generate the "America is racist" narrative. Leftists like you are the Puritans now. You want to ban offensive speech, destroy statues, rename buildings and cancel people for things that happened years ago, all in the name of muh feelings. If you want to see what America's biggest pussies look like, it's your fellow soy boys:
