Why not just say what you meant?

Some of you are just hopelessly inept

It's like a science experiment. If you drop a comment which offends the cult, how long will it take on average for someone in the cult to convert that comment into something the cult WISHES you had said. My research shows that it's 2.5 minutes.

can you try harder to NOT think about me engaging in sexual activity? You're such a creep. And then to want to talk about your fantasies on a political message board.. makes no sense.

While I’m glad that one of the thugs was caught that broke out, I’m reticent to be glad about the manner in which the government is tracking us.

This is essentially the only reasonable response to any of this

ACLU is correct .

We shouldn't want to live in The Truman Show. Our movements in public or private spaces should not ever be tracked. It's frightening.

Never sacrifice your freedom for security. Never, never, never.

That used to be the prevailing mindset here

I'm not so sure anymore. It sounds like everyone is willing to bend over and take it and just say that this is inevitable.

You say collecting but are they rather using data to filter through that allows people who pose a more immediate danger to society? Why would you want to protect the criminal over the innocent?

If not wanting my movements to be tracked by the government = protecting criminals - you're going to have to explain how you connected those dots for me.

When was the last time you left the house without one of these on you?

How is that relevant to facial recognition technology used on public streets? Are you claiming the government is constantly recording using every cell phone camera at all times?

Why would you need to surveil the innocent in the process?

Your movements ? Like to a store or doctor? Maybe a client or relative? Would be really bad if while doing so your child happened to be carjacked by a criminal and transported into the depths of the hood. The police would have no leads whatsoever, well unless the license plate on car was captured and carjacker identified by a camera . Now if you were up to nefarious activities then I get your point

No one is suggesting that camera data can't be used in an investigation

Do you have any concept of what you're even rambling on about?

ETA - and if the perp wasn't identified on camera then this shite would be equally as useless with face detection. You're just rambling without thinking.

It has more pros than cons and so you can expect to be using facial recognition yourself (passively or actively) as well as subject to facial recognition in public. What's really cool is that in complete darkness, certain cameras with an IR emitter can see your face completely as well as see right through sunglasses and the darkest window tint to see you clearly, making facial recognition an important security tool in urban environments.
