It’s not illegal either
The executive branch can turn the faucet off so long as it’s not money that was allocated by elected officials

Why is it illegal?
The allegations are violation of the APA.
This was the same issue Trump admin 1 had with this sort of activity and why DACA exists today.
These initial acts are good for chest pumping and muh fight, but have historically failed, ultimately, due to non-compliance with the law.

Trump signed an executive order changing direction on DEI and illegal immigration. Keep in mind, this is a pause to determine where and how the money will be spent. If this money will go against federal mandate deemed by the president, then that money will not be spent in keeping with the executive order. Seems pretty simple to me.

The pause may be the aspect that saves this one.

This is an amazing topic and I'm very interested in how it plays out
Did congress just grant money to the executive to pick and choose?
If not what are the specifics?
Also very curious how ny ag has standing

Yes, but the point still stands. DEI is no longer a thing. Funding going to something that is now no longer, by duty must be frozen or reappropriated. The executive is the executor of the law and if federal law changes either by congressional means or by executive order, it must be followed. That’s all that is happening here despite the sky screeching.

Nope. We are going to court and will do whatever is needed to fix stupid crap. Don't care if you cry, kick, scream....

All I know is, I have been in the wrong area of earning money. I could have been 1 of 55-60,000 "non-profits" making millions each year.

They’re deathly afraid of what might be found, even during a pause.

Big Tish is going to get her fat arse thrown in prison. Trump's attorney already told her that.

they just need to pass a spending bill that gets rid of it.
They need to pass a budget... if challenged I doubt their current mechanism of funding would or could pass constitutional muster...
Congress has continued to fund many things no longer needed by continuing to kick the budget can down the road...

My first job out of college was working for a non-profit. The board had approved the executive director moving the organization because her husband got a dean position at Mississippi State.
The executive director made $300,000. There was an additional $500k of staff salaries. The one year I worked there, just $150k was spent on expenditures that were the purpose of the non-profit. 90% government funded.
This has to happen.

But you could do this without going to court.

But executive fiat is typically regulated by the APA. There are certain limited actions that may not require any oversight, and others that require Senate oversight, etc., but 95%+ of executive actions are regulated by the APA.
If they just do it right the first time, all the unnecessary drama is eliminated. The admin runs the risk of having the whole executive action invalidated, as well (like the DACA repeal from Trump's first admin).

to put it in simple terms, if there's a giant leak in your house, be it the roof or a pipe, you can't fix it while the water is running.
i said in another thread that i think WIC, SNAP, FAFSA and Medicare/aid have a role, but you can't fix it when the spigot is open. pause and adjust as needed.
I am not a cruel man, but if you can't survive a month without federal assistance then it's obvious that you are not a good steward. I don't have as much cash saved as I would like outside of investments, but if i lost my job tomorrow, we could easily make it 6 months by cutting unnecessary things in an hour.

Between these grants, disability payments, and other welfare, I would like to know exactly what % of Americans are “making a living” just by politicians transferring money from us to them.
The government does what they want:
Then they use an old Third Reich tactic by putting people who are less educated (educated but not nearly as much as their counterparts) in higher brass roles because they will just shake their heads like retards and say yessir. They have made us believe everyone that is an attorney is some genius and they arent.
