Hard to find news outlets that don't have a particular slant and the hosts (obviously not journalists) not having their panties in a wad. Do we really have to pick a side?

I'd love to find 3 or 4 outlets (TV, Web, Print, Radio) that consistently present the events of the day without bias.

I don't mind informed guests sharing their opinions, I'm extremely turned off by the highly emotional employees of the News outlets feeding the sheep on either side of the aisle. Let us make up our own damned minds.

Hate to think I'd have to go to BBC America or AL Jazeera to find some sort of respite from the hate.

I honestly think the only non-biased news sources are local news these days. I am not kidding.

OAN is good minus a couple of biased talking heads. The left offers. Nothing so good luck.

If you want to remove bias the first step should be to completely remove TV and radio from what you consume IMO

Plenty of bias on the web but you're already aware of the bias so you're a step ahead of the game. The good thing about the bias on the web is you can quickly compare several articles covering the same topic and hopefully get to the bottom of what's really going on.

You really don't have that opportunity consuming TV or radio news

Local news nowadays is about 1/5th local and the rest national filler. I know from a personal perspective. Investor groups are killing local television.

go to /pol/. It is the closest. Reddit is heavily modded, even here is modded to a degree that you can't always talk about history without leaving holes.

Al Jazeera America (really, no kidding) was the most unbiased news network for every story except those involving Israel or the Middle East conflicts before they pulled the plug on themselves. They couldn't care less about Democrats vs. Republicans on any U.S. news stories.

There really aren’t any. Best bet is to read a couple that skew each direction. I like The Guardian for left leaning since they will occasionaly put forth strong privacy rights support and only their opinion section ever really goes full “libtard”. Fox is a decent enough right skew, certainly better than Breitbart and its likes. The Hill, Reason, and Real Clear Politics all have some good, factual reporting relatively often.

While true, I find TheHill.com to be annoyingly devoted to churning out as many articles they can about anything. I open the website and find a lot of "non-story" articles, at least imo.

That’s fair. And given the already overwhelming overload of information available across different news outlets, it can defintely be annoying sorting past their fluff.

Wouldn't it be nice if all News Presenters had to spend a number of years in the field before they earned the right to offer opinions on the news as it relates to people and their motives? Most of these folks have never had dirt under their fingernails, have never been hungry, never had to work several jobs to get by. Never had criminals move in next door. How can they relate? Same goes for judges, politicians and in a lot of cases religious leaders.
It would go a long way toward people understanding the complexity of the real world.

Tragically unless the leader is a bi-vocational pastor he's never done anything out of seminary. And they're taught there that if they don't have a large church with multiple sites they're a failure.

Don't let the British accents fool you, they read the news stories they are given, and those deciding what stories get on the air have a clearly defined agenda about what they want you to hear.
