frick no, it's not us. We are people; surely you agree with that? Does that mean we are responsible for everything people have done?

When you discuss something that happened as a nation, from government down to grassroots, that’s part of “our” history as Americans

When you discuss the national identity, that is part of it.

I dont think we all need to go back to the old world. But when we talk about our history, we sorta need to acknowledge it was the founders and some
of our grandparents
who were doing this stuff.

So what? That native population screwed over others. That's the point you seem to miss.

maybe. there still seemed to be a native population when we got here, so idk if it was as bad as what happened next.

Maybe you’re a precolonial historian who can educate me on various tribal treaties that they consistently violated.

And there is still a native population today - you and me if I have to explain.

So by your own logic...

And really "tribal treaties "? They just massacred each other. They didn't know how to write.

The Native American Indians have stories about a tall race of red headed humans that they fought and exterminated that were here in the Americas before they arrived.

In their defense, the original natives were cannibals.

Now do Palestine.
Jordan controlled the west bank and Egypt controlled gaza for almost 20 years yet neither created a Palestinian state.

For the same reason, this requires us to oppose immigration.

This is what happened to the Washington Redskins. The name got changed due to outcry from white Karens, not Indians.

I once had a discussion about that with a white dude.

swore to me that name was "racist as frick" and couldn't believe I didn't agree.

so I asked him point blank "if the people for whom the team was named says it's not racist, and are in fact trying to get the team to bring back the name and logo, then who the hell am I to say it's racist?"

and his answer was seriously "well they're wrong, it's absolutely racist"

Translation: "Those idiots don't know anything. They should let us, the white people with superior intellect, decide what's best for them."

Perhaps that is what Woody Guthrie was conveying when he wrote, This land is your land, this land is my land....

Actually, the Indians didn't give the Europeans any diseases. check out this YouTube video by a guy called CGP Grey LINK
But sorry Indians we won, you lost. Maybe we could have been more gracious victors, but let bygones be bygones.

I was under the impression they did bring syphilis back to the Old World.

What reasons should American taxpayer dollars be used to conquer land for the premier elite country of Israel?

Maybe because they are our friends, and those who want to destroy them are the ones who chant "Death to America" every chance they get?

The evidence for that is murky. While it certainly did move from New to Old world. European skeletal remains from well before first contact show signs of treponematosis which is the parent disease of syphilis.

Perhaps they chant Death to America is because we are funding their death?

I wish I was friends with the US government.
