Here's my theory and it has to do with keeping power held firmly in place with the elites:
Start with the assumption that the truly elite whites in this country aren't being denied anything. However, what the elite whites that run this country are most threatened by are upwardly mobile lower class whites. Far more so than they are POC (because its obvious due to skin color). IOW a poor white can slip through the doors at a country club and pass for a descendant of a Rockerfeller while its pretty obvious that a brown guy should be kept out of the inner sanctum.

That is the ‘Within 4 Years’ requirement, which is a hidden piece of horseshite, because when I graduated, my career path required 18 hours of credits in my first semester, which was impossible because there was an 15 hour limit for first year students. Not to mention having to retry courses because you have to drop a course mid-semester because your teacher is shat.

Graduation rate may go up as the quality of faculty declines and classes get easier. Of course, this will lead to graduates who can't get jobs in the real world.

Ehh, the anti-white thing is on borrowed time. Republicans have talked about it forever, but now we’ve got people like Elon Musk, Bill Maher and Joe Rogan pointing it out. Those make more of a difference than folks like Ben Shapiro, Anne Coulter, Matt Walsh, etc, who are mostly preaching to the choir.
White guilt won’t last forever. The more people who get desperate because they lost jobs or missed out on promotions, they’ll stop caring about “equity” and be like, hey, shut the frick up, I’m trying to make it in the world too. Enough people are already pointing it out in the white community outside of the talking heads / podcasters and there’s 240 million white people in the country. They aren’t going anywhere.
The white Jews in America, which is composed of lots and lots of libs, got a taste this year of how annoying and stupid it is to be called oppressors for something they didn’t even do.

I've got one even earlier than that. My dad worked for Abbey Carpet in California back in the 60's. We lived about 50 miles south of Sacramento, little over 100 miles from San Francisco, if that tells you anything.
My day rand a carpet crew, laying carpet. Needed to hire a worker, and the company told him to hire a black person. He told them that no black people had applied, and they told him to find one.
He quit a few days later, went to work at a Ford dealership as a line mechanic. We moved out of California in 1980, thank God, and have never looked back.

Yeah, I know what your dad went through. After I quit my job at Fisher-Price and left Buffalo, I eventually quit looking for a job and started a small business with my brother designing and making our own line of handmade jewelry then selling it on the streets of San Francisco.
