What’s my bias reporting that Nissan is about to fold and the Leaf was the highest selling electric car in the world?

Will this cause the Frontier Pro4X to be under $40K by the end of the summer?

I'm a die-hard 'Yota afficionado, but that's a damn good looking truck.....and with a 310 HP naturally aspirated V6 instead of the anemic 4-bangers that Toyota is using.

Car dealers were straight up assholes during COVID with their jacking up prices.

Yeah they were at stellar levels during COVID. But my dad was in the car business and I’ve seen some shady stuff. I went to buy a 2005 mustang GT in dec of 04. The cars were not yet in high demand and I got mine secured when it was still on truck coming from Michigan. Put my deposit on it and then brought my trade when it arrived and drove home. They made excuses about trying to find a bank to take the loan for 30 days. I wanted to sign paperwork. Then the demand for the car skyrocketed. They wanted another $2k from me and I couldn’t back out because my trade in was gone. Not weeks later all ford dealerships were charging an extra 2k on the 6 cylinder models and 4k on top of MSRP for the GT model.

Had both. Thought the 300 was much improved over 240 but both were fun cars

What did they think was gonna happen with how bad prices are?

Thats the bottom line. New vehicles just became unaffordable.

Will Infiniti go under as well?

Hope not. Then all the real housewives of Lake Charles will have to find a new official vehicle.

Truly sad, love my Nissan Murano, it is a 2019 and looks brand new at only 30,500 miles.

Wikipedia page on Nissan's former CEO:
quote:

Carlos Ghosn.......In 2018, he was arrested in Japan on suspicion of financial misconduct at Nissan, having been accused of understating his annual salary and misusing company funds. In 2019, while under house arrest awaiting trial, he escaped from Japan by concealing himself inside a large box which was shipped as freight on a private jet

This man changed the trajectory of Nissan as a company. Not specifically this incident, but his chasing of money over quality cars really.

The Titan was the only reliable full size truck left after Toyota screwed up the Tundra. Great warranty too. The Frontier survived long enough to take advantage of the Tacoma turning to shite, but the Titan decision came about a year too early to be saved by the Tundra debacle.

I think Renault was a bad partner for Nissan and I hope a partnership with Honda will straighten them out.
