For a dumbass like yourself, Nike is a sound investment in its current state

I think they always split the market with many other players in running, golf, soccer shoes.
My understanding is they absolutely dominate in basketball. I think they were doing really well on lifestyle shoes/apparel. For sure, in apparel, that market is split with Lulu, Vuori, Fabletics, etc. It's why I think Under Armour isn't doing well. The question is, can hoops and retro wear keep them thriving?

I had a pair of AirMax 95's I had put back a few years in closet. Perfectly climate controlled for 3 years. I wore them twice and they are falling apart. The glue on the soles is letting go and the foam is disintegrating.

It has nothing to do with a political stance. There are many superior leisure brands out there that have become accessible.

Why is this on the poli board?
Typical prog.
All they can do is play dumb and call you a bigot.

you should get up at the next shareholder meeting and explain that to the investors who have lost money.

What are you patriots buying for shoes now? I don’t buy WOKE products for my feet.
New Balance, a better quality shoe that I have yet to have the sole fall off.

all poli aside - PE 28.74, 3.75% Dividend, price per share is half what it was a year ago, might need a second opinion from the /money/ board

I can't remember the last time I bought a piece of clothing or shoes from a "mainstream" manufacturer like Nike, Reebock, Adidas, Under Armor, etc.

I had no idea TJ Maxx was worth $180B. That floors me.
My oldest goddaughter is the head of the Marshall's/TJ Maxx sisterhood on Madison Ave.
I'm convinced that TJX with Ernie Hermann at the helm is the most intelligently run retail op in the country right now and that what my goddaughter has done, with their influencer ad campaigns especially, is brilliant.
Their TV spots are excellent and well placed, but their influencer strategy and return on that dollar is exemplary. Plus they fill a niche with a good product.
Nike can eabod imho. They went so woke, so off the charts far left ... that even Mad Ave was trying to pull them back. And Nike doubled down.
I often wonder what's going to happen with all of these Nike apparel deals we all have once Nike finally self destructs.

Their issues and stock performance have nothing to do with wokeness.
Under Armour is having the same problems and I don’t recall them going woke.
There’s a reason these are consumer cyclical stocks.
