It will not be that easy. Rittenhouse will be fighting the full might of the Democrat Party: The Media, Governor, BLM, DA, and Democrat appointed judges. He will be totally convicted and vilified in the media. The Democrats will push this all the way through trial to the jury. The only chance this kid is going to have is that he gets a fair jury.

What? Defending himself from a mob of savages that tried to kill him twice & was seconds away from beating him to death as he lay on the ground until he shot in self defense?
That?
I'd sleep very well.

He may walk, but the costs to defend himself with criminal and civil cases will be astronomical.

Not really a matter of feeling sorry for them... It will impact him significantly, I have never met anyone that has taken a life that it did not have a significant impact on them whether justified or not...

So I have been unable to fully absorb every detail... but what he DID was shoot a guy who was beating him with a skateboard and/or a "medic" approaching him with a pistol drawn?

High profile case. He will have significant fund-raising and lawyers donating time.
Won't cost him a penny.

Once he sees the rap sheets of the men he killed he'll think nothing of it.

Ok Dr Phil.

Survival has a way of overriding PTSD.

I fully understand what he did and I feel like he did what he had to do in order to get out of that situation alive... Even justified, it will still impact him significantly... Until the other night, those were paper targets or players in a video game...

I've never killed anyone, but I feel confident that I could do it with no remorse or lingering issues if I was defending myself.
But I'm kind of a sociopath.

I think the DA is going to focus on the first guy shot. That is his best case for murder, but it is still a terrible case. There is video of him provoking Kyle earlier in the evening and later chasing him and cornering him after he tried to flee the area before getting shot in the head.

Every 2A supporting gun owner (that supports the republic and is not Marxist) in this great nation should overtly stand behind Kyle Rittenhouse based on what transpires in that video.
This is a fundamental issue involving arms and self defense. You can argue he wasn’t a
gun owner and whether he should have been there, but he was there and was under attack from armed (characterized as peaceful) Marxist militants.

Not about Kyle anymore, j...He has now become a symbol, martyr and rallying call. It may well be one of those defining events...like when the guy over in Egypt lit himself on fire, and the Arab Spring exploded from there.

It won’t be easy, but who do you think will be opposing all those you listed? Think about it for a minute. You already realize it’s a huge case beyond the murder charges. Hint, It’s not going to be just the kid and his lawyer.

While i'm not sure what the guy you responded too meant.
Killing someone, even someone who is trying to kill you will leave a mark. Many people who kill in combat or police involved shooting have lingering effects. And he is only 17.

Anyone think these DAs keep making charges they know they can’t prove to guarantee they get off and thus will cause more destabilization?

Nope, they are bringing the charges because it is political to them and is what will keep them in office... This one checks all the boxes on their prosecution wet dream list...

That is why we honor those who serve; as many of us live a good life minus the scars of shedding blood. I REALLY appreciate those who defend me and mine.
