I looked at sports in the past as a refuge from politics and other "realities of life". It was an escape for a few hours, it was nice. Now, just about every aspect of life has political components injected into them. It has become harder and harder to find those refuge spots.

I've turned to watching old reruns of childhood shows, and discovery shows such as homestead rescue and living off of the grid.. Hopefully these shows will not become tainted with politics.

But it's not just that. It's that it's political in only one direction. You can voice anything you want, as loudly as you want, but only if it's from an extreme ultra liberal point of view. It's disgusting.
