Elementary school shooter Salvador Ramos began his massacre by shooting his grandmother because he was enraged over his failure to graduate high school this week, according to a neighbor.

Classmates of the 18-year-old—who murdered at least 19 children and two teachers on Tuesday morning—are due to attend their graduation ceremony on Friday (May 27).

Ramos' fury over his lack of academic success sparked a fight with his grandmother shortly before he shot her and drove to Robb Elementary School to embark on his killing spree in Uvalde, Texas, the neighbor claims.

The man was not interviewed on camera, but reporter John Mone, of local news channel Newsy, revealed he had spoken to a resident he named as Eduardo Trinidad, who was described as a family friend and neighbor.

He said: "I spoke with a man across the way here. He says he knows this suspect's grandmother, who police say he shot. He said he knew her from family connections.

"He described a scene in which this young man, 18 years old, was reportedly—according to this neighbor, his name is Eduardo, I just spoke with Eduardo Trinidad—he said that the suspect was angry he did not graduate.

"And he got into an argument with the grandmother and she was screaming, 'He shot me! He shot me!' and then he got in the car, zoomed down the street, there was some kind of crash according to Mr. Trinidad. The suspect got out, he had two weapons, and then started engaging gunfire. From that point on, apparently, according to Mr. Trinidad, the suspect walks into the school and unfortunately the rest is history."

I want both

I want to know everything about this psycho, and i want it taught to parents, teachers, LEO's, etc.

For some reason we are going on 24 hours with little to no info on a dead mass shooter. We could literally be preventing the next one with proper information.

we need comprehensive, common sense graduation control.

I agree.

We should know every medication that he took legally and illegally. Every run in with police or teachers or other students. Every quirk whether perceived as good, bad or neutral.

This should be done with all nut jobs that hurt others.

I actually don't think the victims should be listed unless their families approve. These are children and I can only imagine the heartbreak the parents and families are going through.

Those look like some expensive rifles that some poor HS failure was able to buy. Anyone know more about them?

Are certain journalists allowed access to "scrubbed" social media data? How's that work?

that shite was posted within minutes of his name being leaked.

Now, hes been scrubbed from the internet.

You think a 18 year old has one public picture? One screen shot of text messages?

This shite is weak.

Unload it ALL on this kid so all these angry parents KNOW what to look for.

This does NOT need a bunch of rich arse career politicians involved

From that article:

quote:

The Instagram account posted an image three days before the shooting of two rifles, including what appeared to be a Daniel Defense AR-15 with a high-capacity magazine. Another image from April 28 showed someone holding a magazine.

Texas Sen. John Whitmire said he’d been briefed by state police that Ramos, who turned 18 on May 16, legally purchased two assault rifles on May 17 and May 20, plus 375 rounds of ammunition on May 18.

I wonder how much of this might be "social media" CYAing itself.

So he was held accountable for his own failures for the first time in his life, and couldn't handle it.

I assumed they got those as screenshots from people. The article mentions that the accounts themselves are no longer online.

More of his background is emerging.

Dad is not in the picture. Lived with his mother until a few months ago, then moved to grandma's house.
quote:

Flores and several other people familiar with the family said Ramos’ mother used drugs, which contributed to the trouble at home, according to the Washington Post, which said it could not reach her for comment.

Ramos moved to his grandmother’s home across town a few months ago, according to Flores, who said he last saw the grandmother Sunday when she stopped by the mom’s Hood Street property, which she also owned.

He said she told him she was in the process of evicting Ramos’ mother because of her drug issues.

Gunman Salvador Ramos’ friend Santos Valdez Jr., 18, said the two had been close, playing video games and basketball regularly, until his friend’s behavior began to “deteriorate,” the Washington Post reported.

At one point, he recounted, Ramos showed up at a park with scratch marks across his face and said he had been attacked by a cat.

“Then he told me the truth, that he’d cut up his face with knives over and over and over,” Valdez told the newspaper.

Ramos used to drive around with another pal and shoot people at random with a BB gun — and also egged people’s cars.

Friends and relatives also said Ramos had been bullied throughout middle school for a speech impediment — a stutter and lisp, according to the Washington Post.

Nadia Reyes, another high school classmate, told the paper that Ramos recently posted an Instagram Story of himself yelling at his mom, who he said was trying to kick him out of their home.

“He posted videos on his Instagram where the cops were there and he’d call his mom a b—- and say she wanted to kick him out,” she told the paper. “He’d be screaming and talking to his mom really aggressively.”

I can tell you for certain that I never purchase guns like that because they're too expensive for my blood.
