I'm of the belief that the DNC is using Newsome as the future fall guy ,since their overall polling of the opinions of the DNC are so low.
They're counting on a swing back in their favor and at that point, they'll abandon Newsome and pick up on someone like Shapiro or Kaine.

This is explicitly to gin up the liberal base and discourage the GOP base.

If our citizens really vote for Newsome over Vance by that much then they deserve a Newsome Presidency. Newsome was recalled as the governor and citizens and businesses are fleeing his state .
