Clinton, as much as I dislike her, went to yale law (when that meant a hell of a lot more than it does now), practiced, then served as senator and sos. She's married to someone who is a former governor and obviously president

And (as I’m sure you agree) she was outrageously incompetent and ruined everything she touched. I challenged Hillary supporters during the election to give me a single thing she’s done that would make for a good President, and save for her positions, not one provided me a single action she’s done that makes her qualified.

trump built his own company and made billions in real estate...which means there is a long checklist of relevant qualities and skills that he possesses

And unlike the Hillary supporters, Trump supporters could name actions he’s done without a meaningless title. I still think Trump is a fricknut, but he may be the greatest brander and media player who ever lived. There’s something to be said about that skill.

quote:

marco Rubio is a c student who eeked into Miami law school and didn't do all that well. he made the right friends in dade county. I no shite rather Hillary Clinton running the country than marco Rubio.

That does surprise me. I wanted Rand Paul to win, but he was out by the time it came to my state, and I hated Cruz, so I went with Rubio pretty much by default. I’m not the biggest Rubio fanboy, but I see how he can be useful getting the Hispanic vote.

My solution was to move out of Louisiana, but if I was forced with this option, I'd have to at least think about it, because all these years of voting for the same thing over and over hasn't really worked.

I moved out of Louisiana for these reasons, so your point is dumb

Good for you.

That's not what we're doing here though.

You're ridiculing a bama Voter for being poor, last in education and full of diabetes because they don't want to vote for someone who thinks it's acceptable to abort a 9 month old baby.

Y'all don't even try to pretend to look down your nose at Alabama.

Plenty of false pride and immorality everywhere. Just look at the news.

actually it's not dumb. it's where you're from. it's where you grew up and influenced as a person. it's where your family is from.

I actually don't think the people are stupid. I think the centers of populations are nothing but rot and decay and the smaller towns within a certain proximity decline as well. all this stuff greatly impacts poverty and education. people in Alabama whose only option is a shitty public school, I feel bad for them. it's not entirely their fault. it doesn't mean they're stupid. and of the 3 states, I would much rather live in AL than MS or LA not based on anything other than my own self interests.

yeah, which is funny because I know people in Guntersville (a shitty small town) that are some of the most sophisticated, intellectual OT ballers living in antebellum mansions, but even if they lived in a trailer...doesn't make them stupid or lacking in sophistication.

Pick your poison.

Your emotional plea falls deaf on me. If you are a single issue voter, then you deserve what you get.

I do too. What's Moore's solution for this? Honest question.

The same as every other Senator in every state. Nothing much can be done until you can fire shitty teachers and get rid of students that don't want to learn.

Please tell me you aren't acting like Alabama is the only state with shitty schools?

Honest answer - Moore doesn't have a solution for anything. He's simply a rabble rouser that invokes God and Jesus to dupe the ignorant voters in Alabama.

Don’t know, but my first instinct is not that people voting for him don’t care or that they’re morally bankrupt

Same with people voting for jones.
