Do you plan to tell us under what circumstances aborting in the 8th to 9th month would be OK in your mind?

Under what circumstances would not be OK?

He will just dodge the most basic debate question on this subject because the optics are horrible.

Yes if an MD recommends it's a health risk to the mother or viability. Happy? Just do happens that is what the law states. Interesting, right. Buy hey if your wife gets knocked up and she is told she may die if she carries to term or will give birth to a baby with Anencephaly or equally terrible condition then go right ahead and take the chance. That's on you.

Doctor tried to tell my stepmom to abort my stepbrother because he was supposedly deformed. She didn’t. He came out perfectly normal. Whoops!

Ya know, killing people who didn’t fit your view of a perfect person was a pretty popular idea in Germany about 80 years ago

That is not at all how this works. There was a court ruling in the 70’s or 80s that pretty much gives the mother discretion on what is a “health risk”. Chicks will be aborting 3rd trimester babies for anxiety.

If you have a week old child that is suddenly diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, would you support ending the child's life right there? Where does this stop?

Most, if not all major health conditions of babies are detectable well in advance of the day they are fricking born. You espouse the medical profession as the sole reasoning for your stance here, but you don't know they can detect birth defects months ahead of due date. In the vast overwhelming majority of cases, even if an emergency happens, it is late enough to have a C-section and deliver the baby, save the mother. With the modern medicine you are championing here so hard, there is a close to 0% chance of any life threatening medical condition arising in the third trimester that can't be solved by early delivery and surgery / treatment of the mother and / or child. Abortion is negligent at that point outside of extreme extenuating circumstances that are already handled legally in this country.
