Even if this is true, and since you are wrong about all thing, let’s assume it is not, AI can do human jobs

You should get to the idea of “if you shoot at a cop, you should be shot” you have been avoiding for weeks before we move onto another subject you don’t know much about.

What does the survey say about what kids who graduated last year are doing?

companies (small and large) don't have time or budget to train a new hire anymore. they've got to hire people ready to hit the ground running. that's why most want 3 years experience for new hires

This isn't new. No one in my generation knew what life held after graduation.

Fuvkinh clown parents have tg e ir kids thinking they DESERVE a job in their field, without without working somewhere else first.

No one deserves anything

My kid’s school district in a growing county in Georgia not only has a hiring freeze but they cut 70 teaching positions.

My son just graduated from NC STate he and his roommates are still looking to secure jobs... my son has to complete a summer internship...in sports management but he's looking for a job job.. next phase in life, I had no idea what I was doing after college.. it will work out in time
You have to go where the jobs are and not where you wish them to be. I know people don’t want to hear that. They have jobs right away in a couple of fields I can think of. Education and health care. Go into nursing and see how much trouble you have finding a job, lol. You will get a signing bonus and make good money. My sons and I had this conversation and have zero problem in the labor market. It’s because of what your child wants and what is reality. You have to do jobs you don’t like sometimes. That is called life. It can suck but it’s reality. What jobs are in Sports Management? I cannot tell you, but I have some of these sports management majors working with me and it’s not in that field.

If anyone wants to teach they will have zero problem finding a job, lol. They may have to move or work somewhere they do not want to, but teaching jobs are everywhere. Lol, 70 jobs are likely teachers who are retiring and jobs not filled. Do you know how many teaching jobs go unfilled?

They're about to face a 2009-esque job market, which is going to really screw them long-term just like it did for millennials. Starting off your career in that environment is really devastating long-term (it even lowers life expectancy).

And before a yokel jumps in, no, I'm not blaming Trump

In ten years we may be looking back at the dawn of AI like we did the dawn of the internet. It was cool early on but we still had no concept of what it would become.

One of the smartest tech/business people I know is saying if you only interact with a keyboard for your job you should be concerned. You need to touch hardware, be face to face with customers, something beyond just typing ones and zeros in an office because AI can do a lot of that.

If your kid is in a major like law - coding copywriting - they are screwed. In fact most of us are screwed Ai will take every job that uses a computer in two years.

I don’t think people realize how nuts things are about to get.

I know I’m painting a broad view over an entire generation but I’m not sure 1/10 know what an actual hard day’s work is like. They’ve never known life without an iPhone in their hand.

Took me 6 months to land the job I did out of college. Had to work part time for family while waiting. It happens.

I am routinely hearing that candidates have to go through a 3-interview process (or more) for just a single job. And even after all that, employers are rude and don't give a final answer. Courtesy works both ways.

I had one in 2020 that had about 5 interviews and they had me do all these stupid personality tests that took hours, had to take the wonderlick test and talk to some occupational psychiatrist. They ultimately didn't hire me because they didn't like my answer to some dumb arse question about work culture. I laugh about it now but it was a huge waste of time. I find most union contractors are ridiculous like this. I probably dodged a bullet. The best companies I've worked for always had a very short interview process and made decisions quickly. I can only imagine what it would have been like working for those other cock suckers if their interview process is that retarded.
