That's a great point. To take it further, a work truck worth a 100k is legitimately worth a 100k +/- 20k for inflation. Regardless, 2 trucks rigged up for different gigs are still equivalent in value.
On the contrary, not all 100k degrees are worth 100k. That 100k work truck paid off is going to help someone with business produce more tax money that will likely/indirectly pay back the 100k in additional taxes paid over the life. Not all 100k degrees will yield the same result. Some will likely never even pay 100k worth in taxes over their entire life.

On the education thing, I saw a poll of SEC schools and the voting, I was surprised at the voting....except my Auburn, still very conservative, as my Mama Ruth used to say, boy you were "raised" like a good crop, "weeds" grow up somewhere.

Do people actually believe this? Because y’all remember “they didn’t vote FOR Biden, they voted AGAINST Trump”? As you will recall that was the explanation to quell hesitancy and suspicion over this unusual voting pattern in this one election.
Fast forward to today and this poll that shows they haven’t “gone back to normal”. The slight problem is that there is no Donald Trump to again scapegoat with “voted against Trump” narrative. Not to mention the historic mountain of reasons to give him the most negative of marks, not frickin 52%…..more like 22.
Something ain’t quiiite right.

If it’s even a legit narrative to begin with, I’m suspicious that it could be all about “the college educated” having been manipulated by the media and left to believe the dividing line between Trump supporters and Trump detractors is primarily education. The uneducated siding with Trump because they’re defenseless against manipulation, while the educated easily know better due to their superior education as well as generally being far more sophisticated.
Not so ironically we saw the polar opposite result occur as far as who was defenseless against relatively elementary manipulation, thus showing a lower grade of general sophistication.
