Yep. Was there the Sunday and a Monday after the game, and definitely lots of them.
If I’m remembering correctly, Ted James once authored/sponsored a bill in the LA Legislature to LOWER the required ACT standards to qualify for TOPS. He can’t be too bright.

My wife and I were talking about this today. We’re both republicans but we’re gonna vote for James so hopefully SWB does not make runoff.
I’ll then will be voting for Sid who is almost guaranteed to make runoff.
I just really don’t want another term of SWB.

I don't know much about him, but I seem to recall he's played the race card a time or two when he was a representative. I don't expect him to be much better than Broome, but she sets the bar pretty damn low. Maybe we can bring back some life to downtown after Broome single-handedly killed it.

If you lived in New Orleans and there was a Dem who had a shot at beating Latoya Cantrell and also a Republican running for mayor, I assume you would vote for the Republican - right? A white Republican has about an equal chance of winning a Mayor's race in New Orleans or Baton Rouge right now.

If EBR gets Ted it will be more of the same at best - probably worse. The middle class whites continue to let the Richard Lipsey types tell them what is good for them. I like this idea that Broome sued to overturn St George but maybe Ted would not have. Ted, just like Sharon, has contempt for St George and the idea that maybe, just maybe, people don’t want their tax dollars going to the shitshow know as the City of BR/Pairsh of EBR.

Okay, Doug Welborn is the Clerk of Court and he's been in office for over 30 years and hasn't had an opponent in at least a decade. Beau Clark is the Coroner. So what's your point?

Is Ted James going to be a good Mayor? Probably not.
