Hard to be surprised. I don’t think there’s been any policy changes made to actually improve the lives of the common person over the past several years. It’s all about the donors and special interest groups.

We all voted for Trump because the Biden economy was completely shite. Well the fact or the matter is it’s worse now. Trumps ego finally got the best of him. It was crystal clear to anyone paying attention that this would happen. It was a total waste to have Trump be the nominee. We've gotten virtually no conservative policies implemented, the woke movement hasn't been crushed, and Trump and Vance are playing footsie with socialist talking points.
We have the House and the Senate, and after the Biden-Harris dumpster fire, we had a chance to put our foot on the throats of the left and squash them. We wasted that opportunity. Hopefully people learn from this and do a better job of nominating conservatives going forward.

The first Trump administration was a disaster, so what made his voters think a 2nd term would be any better. I did not care for the original, I like the sequel even less.

Trump's share of voters aged 18-29 increased from 36% to 46% from 2020 to 2024. Their two biggest reasons for supporting Trump was affordability and his commitment to no new wars. His approval in this age group was 50% less than a year ago. It is half that now.
