It’s a privilege.
As in its a privilege to serve in the Military?
To note anyone can become a police officer if they apply themselves.
Its available to all who would dedicate their lives to upholding the law.
Are you against organizations having different privileges?
Everyone should have the same weapons as the military, either nuclear or complete disarmament.
Everyone should have the secret service protection of the President.
Everyone should be allowed to drive a car or fly a plane without a license.
You claimed that these were at the expense of others.
You think the community suffers because the Democratic laws of the land are enforced?
quote:
Not at all. It’s discretionary and applied arbitrarily.
So you are saying judges are unequally applying the law?
Thats a bad thing right?

Are you in favor of incarcerating thieves? Yes? What would it take to humanize them for you?

Which post(s) in particular? Because I don’t concern myself with the citizenship status of random people? Yeah. I’m a total POS for that

What is the law that determines bail? That’s the whole problem.

Anything YOU support, I automatically know is the opposite of what I support.

What does that even mean in the context of the OP?

I was a staunch Republican for the first like 30,000 of those, but noted.

Sounds like a nice addition...........

I went through my prior posts to double check, but I did not say that.
I said a number of other things, but not that.

Our laws are not based on privilege, but on behavior.

Earned via civil service. Anyone can join the civil services.
People aren't just given qualified immunity, it's part of their role, it's the opposite of privilege.
quote:
Applies to all based on behavior.
We should not all have the same outcomes if our behaviors are different.
Even in cases you dislike, Officers do not have immunity unless they are in uniform performing their job.
quote:
What is the law that determines bail? That’s the whole problem.
It depends on the locality as you know, it's the laws the voters have selected for themselves, if you don't like them get them changed.

There is Louisiana's It does not make respect to individuals.

Of course you did.

but I did not say that.
I made an inference.
Our laws are not applied equally. Everything in this country is pay to play. Or know the right people. Or be attractive enough.

If I walked into Mexico or Canada without papers I’d be there illegally.
You can’t even fly within your own country without proper documents. How is being ID’ed, stripped and searched at airports humanizing for you?
We are all dehumanized when we travel because some immigrants flew airplanes into buildings.

Only US citizens are humans. Gotcha.
They can be humans in their own country and work to make it better. Coming here an stealing hard working American tax payer money while not conforming to our way of life shouldn’t be an option.

I am making a statement, I want to make sure it's clear, the multiple meanings of words in English lends itself to creating communication differences.
quote:
I made an inference.
I am more than happy to clarify, people are treated equally based on their behaviors before law.
If their behavior is to join Law enforcement then certain restrictions and "privileges" go with that.

*yawn*
Show me a law that says that attractive or rich, or connected people (except for Ambassadors), don't have to follow the law.

Having them voluntarily leave this country and come back legally.
