You have to put it in context.
It's SOP to not confirm terrorism (in part for exactly what's going on with the accomplices, home, airBnB, etc.). I'm quite positive they discussed that before the PC.
Then Latoya's "won't be bullied", hungover arse announces it WAS terrorism. The FBI person was clearly not ready for that idiocy and fricked up. Nobody is saying she didn't frick up. The part people are criticizing now, with clear hindsight (which includes a quick correction in real time by the FBI), is trying to extrapolate this frickup into something bigger and more sinister.

I don't know how you go back and listen to these X spaces at a later date but you all need to go listen to that thing I linked to. They are talking about the FBI / State and others bungling all sorts of stuff, such as the importation of tens of thousands into our country, being put onto military installations, people disappearing and so forth.
