No amount of money would put me in Houston. Its a hotter, more humid LA without the scenery.
I wouldn't move there either but I understand why many do. It has a lot of the same characteristics of things I dislike about LA - hot & humid, flat, rains every other day, hurricanes etc

Usually in the burbs.
Few conservatives live in Seattle.

For the disgruntled who are leaving NOLA Metro area, sell me your successful local business. Seriously

The suburbs around New Orleans are a joke compared to their counterparts. Austin suburbs are incredibly nice.

What is making you stay in Orleans parish? 1. Extended family 2. Paying 15k/yr for overpopulated private schools 3. Restaurants 4. Culture I just can’t fathom being a conservative and living there anymore.
Why do you care? How does this affect your life?

However, I do hear the mayor is pretty cool.
Wonder if he was involved in the murder of Bruce Cucchiara

Seeing your tax dollars at work
Public education
That’s the two

This is the most Nola/Jesuit grad thing ever
Ok bud, I’ve got a warehouse operation that sells directly to convenience stores. We get paid in cash so there’s no books. It’s worth about $6M but I’ll sell it to you for $5M. Cash only deal.

Because I’m stuck in this area and trying to fricking leave.

Northshore is out of the question. Living there defeats any advantage of the NOLA metro.
Wtf are you talking about?

Fair point
But I don't see how that applies specifically to conservatives

Because we aren’t subsidized by the government and unfortunately crime and poverty in our local economy is directly fricking related to our shitty public education system. I’m not going to waste my time explaining why job opportunities matter to your income.
Dems are so fricking dense and self centered it’s unbelievable

The suburbs around New Orleans suck. You couldn’t pay me to live in any of those areas. I get some of the complaints about living in the city but those are from people that aren’t rich. If you have money, this city is pretty awesome to live in.

You’re a moron!
My family goes back In New Orleans to its original founding in 1699, facts & I have the paperwork.
Tons of my family still live in that Banana Republic, but I moved to Mandeville so
My kids could have a safer environment. I’d move out of state if my kids were grown up because the entire state is a backwards cesspool of corruption.
Yes, it is home.
And yes, I can name blocks in most regions of the city and tell you if it’s halfway safe or not. You don’t have to “have an address to have street cred”, and that is why you’re an idiot!
2nd reason your an idiot, NS is far from a “track house area” with no trees, wow, what a clown you are! I have so many trees that it makes the maintenance a nightmare especially for my pool. But I trade that off for the fact I can leave my doors open & free schooling & litter free streets & educated people at the grocery stores.
It’s not paradise, but Nola is a 3rd world country now! And I actually own a business in New Orleans East and have to pack heat to and from my vehicle when going to my office.
I won’t respond to this moron, I don’t even read replies
