I don’t really care about DACA as long as they never get citizenship. Those people are never getting deported so it doesn’t really make much of a difference

Tell the dems that they will get nothing.

Republicans are ready to give up the farm for this to end.
Would Trump veto ANY bill that includes the wall? I think Democrats will negotiate the senate republicans into amnesty. What does Trump do then?

ETA: Agreed on the education though. Americans need to get more interested in STEM.
An often repeated myth that has found its way into popular culture thanks to free traders, outsourcers, and mass immigration advocates.
"A compelling body of research is now available, from many leading academic researchers and from respected research organizations such as the National Bureau of Economic Research, the RAND Corporation, and the Urban Institute. No one has been able to find any evidence indicating current widespread labor market shortages or hiring difficulties in science and engineering occupations that require bachelors degrees or higher, although some are forecasting high growth in occupations that require post-high school training but not a bachelors degree. All have concluded that U.S. higher education produces far more science and engineering graduates annually than there are S&E job openings—the only disagreement is whether it is 100 percent or 200 percent more. Were there to be a genuine shortage at present, there would be evidence of employers raising wage offers to attract the scientists and engineers they want. But the evidence points in the other direction: Most studies report that real wages in many—but not all—science and engineering occupations have been flat or slow-growing, and unemployment as high or higher than in many comparably-skilled occupations."

Please, No amnesty for illegals on welfare. Don't give everything else away for a symbolic wall.
We all know this is the likely outcome. That way, both sides will be able to claim victory.

They will be given green cards and then citizenship by the judiciary about five minutes after they are given any sort of visa. Deportation is the only solution.
The hatred of amnesty is epic in the GOP base. It's the main reason Marco Rubio no longer has higher political ambitions. Remember the gang of eight debacle? No GOP Pol with an ounce of sense will sign on to an amnesty.

In Graham’s office, GOP senators discussed an immigration deal - $5.7B for the wall - plus provisions to entice Dems: DACA, TPS, H2B. Kushner told them if it has wall money and can pass Senate, WH would be open to further talks. Rs now plan to pitch Ds
If dems reject this, LOL
Dems once made this same deal, but offered $25 billion for the wall. Anne Coulter told Trump to turn it down. How is giving the same thing for 5 billion a win?

Trump already rejected the wall for DACA - no chance Stephen Miller lets him accept it this time.

The type of worker being imported is questionable.
Bringing in computer guys is just wanting to have “techno-coolies” for the most part because you can find domestic programmers to do the work but you don’t have absolute control over them due to holding their visa like you do with ones from India.

H2B
is a visa program. It's very popular with donors of both parties to bring in foreign workers to replace more expensive American workers. Expanding it would be a mistake.
This program is huuge in the IT sector. The key point is your employer holds your visa. It is slave labor. You bring in a bright kid from India, he soon realizes he could get another job for double the pay and half the work....not so fast my friend unless you wanna go back to India. And yes you many times replace a US worker, even making them train their replacement. Even though the premise of the h2b visa is that the person has a skill you cannot source with US labor.
The bright side is, a lot of these sharp kids do find a way/avenue to stay in the US and help the economy, and become citizens....unlike the ganbangers from the south.

A great many people overstay their visas and then get welfare.
Most people who overstay their visas are students/business people/family members, who do not stay permanently.
The overstaying of visas, or the fact they travel by plane, is just a shiny object the left throws out there. People who travel by plane to go to Stanford and stay an extra semester while they work out their VISA, are not the problem.

We need to decrease highly skilled worker importing too. We need to educate our native born people for those jobs. More difficult, but better in the long run.
So..... You want the gov't to control the labor market? Central planning? How's that not Socialism?

I regret that I have but one upvote to give.
Two upvotes. WE ALREADY DID COMPROMISE UNDER REAGAN, WE HAVE 28 MILLION ILLEGALS AND ANOTHER 20 MILLION ANCHOR BABIES TO PROVE IT.

Fully fund it with 15+ billion, and lets get into E-Verify, Voter ID, Taxing remittances etc.. we have more tools than just the wall for leverage.
Now we talking, that would be true negotiation...aint gonna happen. We will settle for daca citizenship and they will demand dapa (which was citizenship for the parents as well that obama tried to slide under the rug).

Look on the bright side...
Crawfish would probably be around $5.00 per lb if it weren't for TPS and H2B workers.
Doesn't mean I support though.
