Sad, sad, sad...and this number will continue to climb given our current climate/society.

And one of my favorite terms (actually one of liberals favorite buzzwords) popped up in this thread a while back.

"Institutional Racism"...WTF does that even mean? Is the Federal Govt racist? Is there a university system that's racist? Is a corporation like McDonald's racist? Banks? Where exactly are these "institutions" that are racist?

Are there racist people out there? Sure. Point em out and let's shout them down together. I'll be right there to denounce them.

Actually, now that I think about it, probably the closest thing we have to "institutional racism" in this country is affirmative action. A policy that explicitly shows favoritism for some over others solely based on race.

That form is ok though I guess....roll my damn eyes.

The serious issue regarding this scenario is how it effects Political and Ideological unity, societal stability and racial division. These single *mothers* and their offspring as well are highly likely to EXPECT that responsible and productive individuals meet their needs. And expect such believing they hold the moral high ground (slavery reparations, Marxist philosophy, Dem demagoguery, irrationality/delusion, etc.).

The question remains as to whether or not Freedom (economic) loving individuals will surrender to what will be calls for the Socialist Model of governance...or stand and fight to the Constitutional version.

Another front in what looks to be a perfect storm.

LOL.

You hoped Obama would try to solve one of the key drivers of a guaranteed vote for Democrats?

You also sit around all day expecting random blow jobs from super models too, don't ya.

if you could prove that worldwide, there is a correlation between belief in jesus and out of wedlock birthrates, you would have a point.

trouble is, no such correlation exists. so you're pretty much just talking nonsense. but that's what we're here for, right?

I simply can't fathom how people can just screw and pop out kids without any kind of forward thinking. Further, I don't know how they manage to survive day to day.

because the gov't gives her money for them. i guarandamntee you that if they knew they wouldn't get financial assistance they would not be having all these babies.

Been teaching HS since last year and they're just fricking lazy. One of my girls got pregnant, and rather than being motivated to do better in school so she can go to college and provide for her child, she waltzes into class wearing fricking pajamas and does nothing all period.

Despite complete liberal denial on this subject, it is in fact COMMON for poor young women to PLAN to have children to get the welfare.

Sure, that's completely retarded to us normal people. But, it is what it is.

When I see a liberal act like this is unheard of, I wonder what the frick rock they're under.

Our entitlement programs are the problem. It incentivized single parent homes.

Hell a black guy who works for me just had a kid and lives with the mom but they won't get married due to getting more benefits remaining legally single

If you think single parents have it better off than double parents, then there isn't a problem I guess.

I know. Everything is racist. We get it. Every race has some shittyness to it. Not everything about race discussions is done in a spiteful, racist manner.

I can't say someone is black now because that's racist. I get text alerts from our police dept when things happen around where I work. They don't even say what race the person is anymore. They just describe the clothing they were wearing.

"Suspect is wearing a black sweatshirt with hoodie, black shoes, etc etc.. Please stay out of the area and report any suspicious activity."

Conquered that hurdle.

Is it racist to discuss the heroine epidemic? That's mostly white people by a lot. Am I supposed to be offended by that? Cuz I'm not.

I've grown bored of this bullshite.

What's troubling is that less than 1/5 black babies were born to unmarried mothers in the 40's (lower rate than whites), and now 8/10 are being born to unmarried mothers.

Just out of curiosity, does anybody know if the cultural institution of 'marriage' existed in Africa pre-slavery/European invasion? If it reflects negatively, likely been purged from the historical record.

Not to imply that there were not other societal/cultural forms of child bearing/rearing. I.e., "it takes a village".

Whatever. All comes out in the wash.

You clearly missed what I was saying. Jesus is not the only hope for more ideal birth statistics, though if everyone lived according to Christian principles it should certainly lower the number of births to unwed/single mothers.

Sin a bounds everywhere and in everyone and it leads to destruction both here on earth and after death. Christ is needed for forgiveness and communion with God, which will produce the kind of obedience that reduces the amount sin and destruction we see every day.

Being a Christian doesn't mean being sinless but it should result in a life of obedience to God and sin being driven out of the Christian over time until they are perfectly sinless in Heaven after death. There are a lot of people who profess Christ and yet do not have Him as their savior. The modern church is producing more and more of these false believers and these people have no problem living just like "the world".
