Didn't his actual statement include a caveat about how there may be some people who were convicted of something that wouldn't warrant a pardon? Were there a lot convicted of battery on police officers? Were there more serious convictions than that?

I look at it this way… the fact they are trying to frame it like this means they got their arse handed to them last night.

But, I just can't muster up a ton of angst over it, because I was alive the previous months when I watched what seemed like the majority of major American cities break down into violent, fiery chaos day after day, week after week.
Call it a "whataboutism" if you'd like, but given most of the people that did that walked completely and the media pretended like nothing had happened, I'm just not interested in being the guy who's going to be the honest broker and force "his side" to play by rules the other side doesn't even acknowledge.
