You should probably try to keep your public handjobs gig to buses and not out in the open streets.

Idiot.

We would rather have mullah control of Iran than a worse Afghanistan that costs more in terms of money/lives, only to lose, again, which leaves mullahs in control.

If this conflict continued to heat up oil infrastructure in the region probably would've gotten badly damaged.... And taken years to recover not 6 months. But lets say we accept a loss of 15-20% of the worlds oil supply for a while. Achieving your goals is what we tried in Iraq. Iran is a much more difficult and would cost many more American lives. Or we stick to no boots on the ground and support a civil war that goes on for who knows how long.....a lot longer than 6 months. And the whole region will remain a kicked hornets nest. This deal isnt good. This whole thing is a mess, but doubling down on regjme change is going to cost a lot more than a few months of a higher gas prices.

Your flailing is hilarious

I wonder why Iran in 2026 is more similar to Afghanistan in the 00s than to the Soviet bloc as the USSR crumbled

Complicated thoughts here

Trump is at heart an appeaser. Both with Putin and with Iran. He should have long ago have told Iran there is no linkage between Israel/Hezbollah and our conflict with Iran. He should have said we consider Hezbollah a terrorist organization and it would be wise for Iran to cut ties and settle the conflict with us. Instead he allows Iran to link the two conflicts and then encourages Hezbollah to lob missles into Israel knowing that Israel would have to respond and Trump would take Iran’s side. They’re playing him like a fiddle!

He’s not dumb. He’s emotional.

He’s dealing with the reality that this is the last gasp of his life’s work. He and those like him have been ruthlessly rejected. There are few things he enjoys more than dead Americans that he can read justifications for in the WSJ the following morning.

Those days are over. The few that sadly perished during this conflict don’t come close to satiating his bloodlust.

Midterms. Midterms. MIDTERMS! Continued MAGA hegemony across the National and International board all rest on gaining power in the Congress. Then moving to whack the corrupt Courts.

With power secured, then what’s left of the Iranian Jihadists can be dealt with.

Or let Mossad handle the dirty work. They are much better than us.

Maybe the Iranian people should have done more then when we hit the IRGC command and control infrastructure. Its become more and more obvious that the only way that regime was going to be overthrown was via a large scale US land invasion because the Iranian people were unwilling or unable to do it with just US air / naval support.
