Am I right that the distance from Ukrainian territory at the Russia-Ukraine border to Moscow is roughly 280 miles, as the crow missile flies? If so, that about the distance from Baton Rouge to Pensacola. While I’m not endorsing any Russian/Putin actions, I could at least understand how and why Putin would be displeased at the ambiguous relationship between Ukraine and NATO, and the suspicious lack of outright and public assurances that NATO herewith would not consider membership by Ukraine. That distance is too close for comfort, knowing full well how any the various NATO member governments have been known to conduct malicious covert operations with no limitations.

I guess the measuring stick for all future foreign policy for every nation on earth should be “would Russia like this?”.

Does America want aggressor nations from halfway around the world setting up shop on our border, sowing chaos and promoting regime change? Well then, we shouldn't be doing it either.

I thought it existed so the USSR would have an excuse to attack majority white countries.

Since the Cold War ended, however, NATO has been needlessly provocative AS ITS RAISON D’ÊTRE…

FIFY!

“The United States is placing its occupation troops in one country after another.
This is the de facto situation in Bosnia…Kosovo…Afghanistan…Iraq…

There is open material and ideological support for “color revolutions” and the paradoxical introduction of North Atlantic interests into Central Asia.

There is little difference between NATO’s actions and individual U.S. actions.

All this leaves no doubt that a complete encirclement of Russia is being prepared
and then the loss of [Russian] sovereignty.”

Russia’s accession to such a Euro-Atlantic alliance, which conducts propaganda and the violent introduction into various parts of the planet the ideology and the forms of current Western democracy – would lead not to an expansion but to the decline of Christian civilization.” Alexander Solzhenitsyn, 2006.

NATO was created to stop Russian aggression.

NATO was created to prevent a Soviet invasion of Western Europe while they were too weak to defend themselves post WWII. Russia is not the Soviet Union. When the Soviet Union committed suicide, NATO's mission was finished.

It didn't work "perfectly" even when the Warsaw Pact was a thing. But it served it's purpose.

Away with that bullshite. Russia is as far from Communist as can possibly be. They're pro-Orthodox Christian, and their economy is driven by profitable exports.

And yet the power in Russia, Putin and his inner circle, are all old Soviets. They just learned to cash in on government.

There is a reason their military is dogshit, all the funds in the military budget went in the old Soviets pockets.

NATO is a fricking joke.

It's just another example of American taxpayer money being stolen and used to prop up foreign countries.

It's called GLOBALISM.

Everyone on this board combined understands less about Russian history, culture, and politics than Stephen Cohen.

If you want to understand US- and European-Russian relations, he is the voice of reason.

Let Russia try to put nukes in Cuba and see what the US threatens to do. Oh wait. That already happened. And we threatened nuclear war. Expanding NATO into Ukraine is no different. The US is not the choir boys taking up for freedom around the world they lead us to believe.

Not even close to the same thing. USSR put missiles in Cuba to attack the US. No one is going to attack Russia. And what’s the difference in having missiles in Poland or Turkey, and Ukraine? Might give Russia an extra 60 seconds to react but that’s it. That’s just an excuse by Putin to justify invading Ukraine. That’s not at all what this is about though.

Assange should be freed, that man is an international Freedom Loving Patriot fighting the good fight & he was right over the target. Anyone who shines the light on the NWO GLOBALIST will be silenced thru Killary, sentenced to jail and hanging yourself when the cameras are off and don’t even have a rope to gang yourself, audited by the Fed and/or you’ll be harassed and buried in legal fees like their doing Trump! But at least he has a team and piggy bank to fight.

But most other freedom fighters get the J6 or Assange treatment and they bankrupt your entire family while you rot in prison.

And regarding NATO:
I seen a chart where the USA pays more than double what we are supposed to pay into NATO, and dozens and dozens of countries don’t meet their 2% GDP QUOTA, and of course, some don’t pay at all. BUT this whole deal was agreed upon post-WWII & everyone signed the agreements, but WE GET TO PAY more than double, LIBS, ask yourself why is that? Think critically for a change.

TRUMP CALLED THIS OUT & WAS CALLING NATO TO THE MAT ON THIS
To level the pay out. Just about the Same time he pulled out of the Paris Climate $$ Laundering Scheme. And just about the same time he was trying to reverse the TPP / China trade deal that is lopsided worst than NATO & a n election coming up in 2019-2020. Thus, Covid was released, prove me wrong!

UNIPARTY SUPPORTERS, wake the frick up! This is good versus evil, it’s not political Anymore.
