Once again the Orange man says something that peels back the curtain and forces a response.
Low and behold- he is right again

The White House immediately issued a scathing retort, labelling his comments as 'appalling and unhinged' and argued they 'promoted dangerous chaos'. And a furious NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg retorted: 'Any suggestion that allies will not defend each other undermines all of our security, including that of the US, and puts American and European soldiers at increased risk.'
But despite the classically brash and inflammatory nature of his comments, the platinum-blond firebrand might have a point.
Although NATO has some common funds, to which all members contribute, the vast bulk of its strength comes from members' own national defense spending.
Back in 2014, alliance members committed to spending at least 2% of their GDP every year on defense - and most of them fell well short of that goal last year despite making the commitment when Russia first annexed Crimea from Ukraine.

Most of these countries couldn’t put 10,000 combat troops in the field.

Most of those European countries probably spend more on their housing and feeding all the migrants they accepted(which are now attempting to destabilize their country)than they spend on NATO.
Why wouldn't they? They know our fricking tax dollars will make up the difference.

Go Poland. I hope they acquire the biggest armed forces in Europe.

Outside of France and Poland, I don’t know that any of the NATO countries could anymore—at least not with standing forces/without wartime conscription. The British Army and Bundeswehr are national embarrassments rivaled only by that of their respective national air forces. I don’t even think Germany can field a single tank division

Trump was pushing this when he was in office, right around the same time he was pushing CHYYNA to rework the trade deal to make it fair and balanced.
I seen these numbers back then and he was also pulling out of the Paris climate accord/deal.
AND GET THIS, all those deals were being reworked AT THE SAME TIME WE WERE HIT WITH A BIOLOGICAL WEAPON aka COVID!
To all you maroons that can’t see what they are doing to the USA, you need to go enlist in the endless wars.
The USA, thru the Federal Reserve has been the Global Piggy Bank until we cannot afford it anymore & then we are all bankrupted while they run away with the coffers.

Yep. And while France is at 1.9%, back when Trump first called out European countries they were a good bit lower than that. He had to shame them into incrementally increasing expenditures.

Probably because they’re constantly on the verge of war breaking out with Turkey over Cypress or some random islands.

Poland has seen quite a few armies march through that stretch of territory over the years. Not surprising they spend for defense.

Just look at all those freeloaders. Makes me sick.

Turkey sitting there ain’t helping. They’ve already taken the top half of Cypress.

NATO should have been disbanded in 1992.
