I've given up worrying. Tax and spend GOPe and Democrats don't care. At the end of the day, they'll try and inflate their way out of any big problems.

We should care about a deficit. Trump is f’ing with the economy now so he looks good now. He cares not about the future as long as HE looks good. Dont u morons realize what are his goals? He wants to support his ego and he is raping us with his bs.
Stimulating business growth, I admit, it a good thing. But, the deficit in the long run is going to hurt us.
Stop accepting trump as a savior. He only cares about trump. His antics are pushing the illiterate liberals to power and that is the worst thing that can happen. This socialism bs is on trump. Lock him up!

I openly admit the Republicans haven't been good on spending.
But, at least there actually are people within the party who really want to deal with spending.
The number of Dems in congress who want to deal with spending is exactly zero and beyond that, a MAJORITY support LARGE NEW spending ideas.
So, it's just impossible to take them seriously on the subject.

Okay got it. We have the most progressive tax policy in the world. The only way to increase revenues at a greater pace is to add regressive taxation like the Euros do to their poor consumers. VAT and heavy taxation at all income levels. Muh tax cut for rich take from the poor

Lets keep answering questions with questions....why does your concern now not match your concern then?
I've never stated i wasn't concerned with the national debt. But it is pure hypocrisy for ANY Obama supporter to now, all of a sudden, care about federal spending. Especially, when the mere mention of cutting government programs also send these same liberals in a rage.
And also, the outright lie that private tax cuts are to blame is laughable. Tax receipts were at record numbers last year, and the year before. We dont have a tax problem, we have a spending problem.
That's my one complaint with Trump, is i see no aggressive moves to combat government spending, outside of regulation cuts. Reduce governmental departments. Means test welfare. Force competitve bidding for military contracts. Remove government involvement in healthcare and open up healthcare insurance across state borders. In addition, the Penny plan is an excellent start, as well as a mandate to reduce deficit spending.

I agree with this statement, but the Republican dissent carries over to a multitude of topics. Democrats have no dissension on any issue.

The national debt has been rising at a faster rate following the passage of President Donald Trump’s $1.5 trillion tax-cut package a little more than a year ago
quote:Spending? Spending is responsible for the debt and deficit? Damn! That admission must have pained the author mightily.
and as the result of congressional efforts to increase spending
But as the saying goes, "Tomorrow is another day." Tomorrow, Michael Collins and USA Today will excoriate immoral GOP politicians for rejection of the Green New Deal.

You mean the Green New Deal will not result in saving us all from this fictional national debt crisis? How can this be?
Orange man Bad! Green New Deal good!

Well. OK. FY18 military budget was about $620B. Completely disband the military. Budget still wouldn't be zero because of retiree costs.
Now. Look at the NEW spending Dems want! They'd swallow that $600B in about 5 minutes.

Are we not adding to the debt at a slower rate than under the GWB and Obama administrations? Or is the rate the same.

"Muh Trump's spending!"
"We need this new green deal that'll cost trillions to even begin to implement"

Nobody cares about the debt save a handful of people in Washington. Attempt to cut welfare or foreign aid to most countries and Democrats will be screaming that people will die in the streets and showing pictures of poor African children. Attempt to cut the military budget or aid to Israel and you'll hear Republicans screaming that you're a terrorist or an anti-semite. When all monetary and military tricks end and our economy collapses, all American generations from the 1950's onward will likely be remembered as the most fiscally irresponsible people in world history.

Trump ask for 5% budget cuts at all agencies

Trump has called for deep, double-digit-percentage reductions for federal departments that were rejected by Congress. His first proposed budget last year included the elimination of 62 agencies, which lawmakers ignored.

Not really. Pretty small number. The worst thing that ever happened was both parties decided to stop fighting over the budget.
Money wasn't the real issue for the last stoppage. Dems simply refuse to give Trump a win.
The majority or Republicans want to spend just as much as Democrats want to spend. I think they should all be fired and start over from scratch.

After the bold part, you just went into some gibberish sort of rant that made no sense. I believe you were trying to say orange man bad, but your sky scream kind of made things unclear. I can make up things out of my arse too, but I don't because I don't want to be seemed an idiot.

By aggressive i guess i mean, i want him to use Twitter to call these clowns out. Republican and Democrat alike. However, the media would paint this as a Republican only problem and use it to put more tax and spend dems in office.

Republicans are scared shitless of reigning in existing spending to be sure. But that's another discussion.
