So you support things that Trump hasn't done to reduce our deficits, things which every other president also haven't done with "entitlements" (is that a euphemism for trust funds that were paid into?)
So Trump was the "status quo" candidate? Odd. I don't remember him running on outspending Biden.

quote:

And you oppose the things he has done (or tried to do and been opposed by Congress and courts) to reduce our deficits, because they're "a drop in the bucket".
Where did I say I opposed them? Recognizing they are little more than publicity stunts is objectively true. And I find it funny you fashion Trump as some vicitm of Congress. Trump lobbied haaard for more CRs of Biden's budgets, suspending the debt ceiling, and pass more spending via the BBB. He's no victim of Congress.

quote:

I say let us start with the "drop in the bucket" and see how big it is. Eliminate govt waste, corruption, inefficiency. Those are some big numbers. Trade tariffs, those are some big numbers. Eliminate all federal funding to illegal aliens, direct or indirect. If those things are just a drop in the bucket, we should get them done with no opposition.
Sure.

See, this is how I know you're just a troll. You won't answer direct questions. Why not start with the things Trump tried to do? Where's the harm if it's just a drop in the bucket? You prefer to start by cutting Social Security retirement fund, which is essentially an inflation indexed guaranteed benefit fund that US working class citizens were forced to pay into. Politically a non-starter because neither party would support it. So if you want to criticize somebody for doing nothing, text your senator or your representative with your laughing emoji. They oppose even the low hanging fruit, how are they supposed to support "entitlement" cuts. They won't and everyone, including Trump and you, knows that.

As for social security and medicare, should we start by pulling the rug from under the oldest ones first, or tell the younger people they have continue paying it like a regular tax but don't get the benefits? Whose medical benefits do we cut first? How about all of them at once, including Indigents, Illegal Aliens, the elderly. Slash payments to hospitals, doctors, cut nurses salaries. Levy a wealth tax on Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates. How many Democrats would vote for any of that (although I guess some of them would happily kick elderly who paid in to the curb, if it meant illegals could continue receiving medicaid)? If Trump proposed those things, they'd laugh and use it as a fear-mongering campaign add next fall. And that's what I suspect you really support.

Fox Business

"US national debt breaches $39 trillion milestone for first time amid spending surge
National debt surpassed $39T for first time this week, just five months after hitting $38T milestone"

This is obviously not purely Trump's fault, but the facts are we will all pay for this at some point in one way or another. Spending has only increased under Trump, while taxes have been slashed. But who cares right? Just keep printing money and f*** the future. Sad

Thanks Donald

People care. Trump ran on creating a booming economy using tariffs to boost tax revenue and domestic growth, and creating DOGE to cut spending. He was elected to do this. Then our fricked up political hack judges shut most of it down

There is no peaceful way back. We will prop up the house of cards until we can’t, then civilized society will implode

I didn't realize we could pay our debt off with "tried".

Where did I say it was harmful? You seem be the one trolling, because you're erecting the strawman.

Cool. So you saying Trump never had a mandate and his supporters only like him because he supports the status quo? Intersting take.

Boomers spent 4 years watching fox news and salivating over trump 2.0. Now they'll support him to the bitter end as he wrecks the country.

Making the Jews a scapegoat is gaining steam. Trump got totally owned and played by Israel in this fricked up fiasco, but the old reliable "Dirty Jew" excuse never fails to appear. To be God's chosen people, they sure do get fricked over hard anytime somebody needs a convenient whipping boy.

If USA enters WWII and ended the Holocaust, USA should also end a second potential Holocaust if it means overthrowing Iran. Without Israel’s blessing (god’s power), we the USA are absolutely nothing. We would be a 2nd or 3rd world country at best if it weren’t for Israel.

What is 20% of 34 trillion? You need to wake up. That 20% inflation of Biden is 6.8 trillion alone!!

But go ahead, blame it on POTUS Trump. He can handle it.

I see you don’t understand that inflation is caused by printing currency, and is a bubble.

The real estate collapse of 2009 didn’t happen because of real estate policy over the preceding three months.

It was thanks to a sharp increase in receipts from the dot com boom. That had already busted and was headed back down by the time GWB was elected.

I can’t tell what’s satire and what’s just lunatic evangelical craziness. These kind of nutters are no better than the Taliban at the end of the day.
