Ma’Khia Bryant. We say her name.
You usually have to in order to spin your lies about her.

quote:

Another Black life stolen.
She was a human life. Skin color doesn't matter.

That said, her life wasn't "stolen" any more than a mass-shooter's life is "stolen" when they are killed by police or others.

quote:

But we refuse to define or remember Ma’Khia by her final moments.
You don't have to "define" her in any particular way, but in the context of her "stolen" life, you really need to understand that she was killed to stop her from "stealing" another "black life".

I'm also curious why they choose not to remember her by the evil she was committing in her final moments. Is it OK to celebrate and honor others in history who performed or tolerated evil acts because of the good things they did? Perhaps we need to keep those Confederate statues up after all, with this line of thinking.

quote:

We uplift, celebrate & honor this Black child for what she loved- doing her hair, making Tik Toks, having fun. Just being a teen.
She wasn't a child, and to be honest, no one needs to be celebrated and honored for "doing her hair, making Tik Toks, [or] having fun." Those are just things people do. She shouldn't be denigrated for it, but celebrated and honored for it? Nah.

quote:

Rest in power, Queen.
Rest, where? Do these people believe in God? The afterlife? Heaven? Jesus Christ? Or are do they believe she is resting in non-existence? What power does she have in death?

And she wasn't a Queen, but if she were, I'd suppose she would be more like Mary Tudor.

It’s really hard to take that organization seriously. I have a lot of respect for all races no matter what color. It’s the individual that gains my respect. Not an organization that tries to undermine it

SHE TRIED TO MURDER SOMEONE.

I wonder, if it was their child Bryant was trying to stab if they would think differently.

They misspelled "making good grades in school, volunteering with her church group, cheerleading and babysitting several kids around the neighborhood" didn't they?

Head BLM Queen has four houses in which to lay her weary head, and a standing thug army ready to do her wishes.

Truly, she cares for unfortunate people.

I wonder who the thief is in this analogy.

quote:

we refuse to define or remember Ma’Khia by her final moments

BUT, we reserve the right to judge and define any white cop in isolated moments.
