This is no different than the standard democratic response. No different than Latoya supporting the criminal and no word about the victims.

I was responsible enough to forgo student loans by working and paying for my undergrad and two post-grad degrees while going to school, so do I get $10k each?

I was fortunate and was able to pay for both of my kids' college. I had each one take out a loan in their names in their junior year for them to have some skin in the game. Ultimately, paid off each loan at their graduation as a thank you for their hard work and commitment.
The government and Joe Biden just took a shite on that.

Even if you had a balance left on your loan you might not be poor enough to qualify. The Biden administration only cares about poor people and making them buy green appliances and cars. I'm surprised the loan payoffs don't come with a caveat that the borrower has to buy an EV to qualify for the forgiveness.
Sort of like how the EV discount built into the IRA caused auto makers to raise the price of EVs by the same amount, so too will colleges and universities raise the cost of their tuitions by $10k commensurate with the amount of the loan forgiveness program.

Everyone that has paid off student loans in full need to sue the federal government. There will be legal recourse if this goes thru. I have me doubts as to whether it will because a President doesn't have the authority to forgive debt in this manner. This will surely be challenged. SCOTUS will decide.
