You think that this issue will be part of a CBA? I promise you that it won’t. I support unions (except the ones in my profession usually). But this “right” will be not even be considered

But facts are alot on this board are fat as frick and could really benefit from the vaccine, but if you don't want to take it....that's cool too.
How in the frick do you know this?

Because it's the same group that post in the bmi threads about how it doesn't apply to them because they lifted weights in high school 30 years ago.
As far as the benifit, I mean the evidence is pretty clear. But people should make their own decision based on their own set of circumstances. If I didn't live with my mother in law and my wife didn't have an auto immune....I highly doubt I would have gotten it.
But also every company should make the same decision based on what is best for them as a company.

In manufacturing and industrial absolutely. In other industries....prolly not.
But in manufacturing if that is the hang up issue....well they aren't going to risk a strike.
I work for a large industrial company and in my plant the operators and maintenance guys are union. We have no plans to mandate the vaccine because it's a huge deal to those guys and doing so has more risk than covid towards the bottomline. Now if insurance says we have to l....that may be different story but doubt it.

No dumbass, I'm claiming begging the government to step in and stop employers from being able to set the terms of employment is a huge step in the wrong direction. One that has already started and the dick cake is a perfect example.
Who’s begging the government to stop the government? You really are sharp.

What right has been violated?
I guess you don't follow the history of unions.
They are always inventing new worker's rights.

In this case yea its a government place but plenty of other threads of people whining about private companies mandating it snd claiming constitutional rights which would be calling for the government to stop private companies.
And yea actually I am really sharp.

I got the shots and am not worried in the least bit. I made a decision that was best for me since I’m over 60. I have no regrets getting the Pfizer and, to be honest, don’t care what anyone thinks about my choice just like I don’t about someone else’s.
Unlike mouton you aren’t running around telling people they have to do something they aren’t comfortable with. You did the right thing for you for the right reasons.

My son is losing his job due to not taking the vax.
My son (I'm so proud of him) turned down his life-long dream job because they required the vax.
And it's not like he can go elsewhere and fulfill his dream, it was one of the 3 letter agencies in DC.
Bigger sacrifices will have to be made to correct this, or much bigger loses will be endured.

Guess you haven’t seen the AFL-CIO and Teamsters come out and say get vaccinated and support? Those are 2 of the heaviest hitters in unions
Now I get the Postal Workers clapped back.
But generally most unions aren’t going to fight for the right to not take due to insurance and they don’t want to give something up.
I feel it should be your choice and I don’t begrudge anyone saying no. I did it not because I believe in it. I did it because of my profession and knowing that the district would eventually tell us to do it. I also did it because being classified as health worker so can get a position in the state system if I wanted.

Well, Phil Valentine lost his life, so if your son has only lost his job, he's damn lucky.
You and your son need to take your dumb asses and get your fricking shots so people aren't laughing their asses off at you when you drop dead.

Maybe you need to see his family go through this. Newsflash: Serving in the military doesn't mean you can't have shite for brains. Get your fricking head out of your arse and drag him and the rest of your loser family down to get their shots before they fricking die.

Most of the stuff people say on here they wouldn’t actually say to people in real life.
