I remember not having AC in our classrooms at school when I was small.
I remember always having them, but I also remember that they were inadequate to keep up if the temperature was over about 90.
Of course, we got out of school before it really started to get into the hottest part of the year, and we didn't go back until it started to cool off back then.
Now I think they deliberate try to put kids in school during the hottest part of the year.

It’s very easy to tell a population they can’t have AC after you’ve taken their guns away.
Hell, you can even arrest them for social media posts!!!

In the UK, homeowners are being ordered to remove air conditioning units due to climate laws aimed at achieving net zero emissions, which state that active cooling should only be used as a last resort after all passive cooling methods have been exhausted. This has raised concerns as temperatures are rising, leading to discomfort and health risks during heatwaves.

Today's Americans don't realize it, but, one day in the future, those days of nobody having AC will return, because the US Government will one day not only abolish AC for the general public, but will employ a truly massive Police Enforcement Agency to police and enforce the ban.
The Ruling Class and Government Class of course will have AC.
Which would cause the bigger riots - banning and confiscating of AC units or banning and confiscating of guns?
I'm hard pressed to decide which

“I remember not having AC in our classrooms at school”
We never had AC at Prompt Succor and the “old” Menard. My senior year at the “new” Menard we had it,it was glorious.
Didn’t have AC at home either.First car with AC was when I was 16.
Parents got AC after I went in the Navy.
I never realized how bad the humidity was until I came home on leave the end of July from California.Couldn’t stand being outside the 10 days I was home, would feel like I was suffocating.

I have heard that some older houses in New
England don’t have A/C and thought it was weird. To find out A/C is frowned upon in a region where summers regularly touch 90 degrees is asinine. But then again it’s Europe.

Let’s be real, Biden was about to send the storm troopers out after gas stoves. They will try and limit ac use here.

I graduated high school in the mid-80's and there was no central heat or air in the school. Each room had radiator heaters but only some rooms had A/C window units.
The gym had no A/C at all.
Buses had no A/C, no white roofs, etc.

Yeah, it's insane, but remember that only about 5-6% of the UK has air conditioning.
And only about 8-10% of the wealthy have it.
France is about 25%.
So yeah, think twice about living in Europe.
(though I suppose at least in the UK, it is usually pretty temperate).
