So, murder and mayhem is ok, then.
They do seem to carry out more attacks during Ramadan that other times.

I agree with your basic premise that the school shouldn't have to bend over backwards to accommodate a minority, but in the future this situation can probably be avoided if the Muslim population of the school ensures it has a seat at the table in the prom planning committee.

The rest of your post laying blame on high schoolers for terrorist attacks is too dumb to comment on.

Some kids in a high school petitioned to change the date of the prom because some of their buds couldn't make it that night . . . . And this makes you angry? Why?

Repaintint the narrative already, or you just didn't read the article?
It wasn't "...some kids petitioning because some of their buds..." It was Muslim kids petitioning because they couldn't go....but they could. Sunset occurs at 9PM and that is when the dinner was being served. The prom starts at 7PM, so they would miss 2 hours. They would be there for the rest of the time.

Also, HubbaDubba made this list of reasons why you don't change at the last minute:

rebooking the site,
rebooking the caterer,
rebooking the band or DJ,
rebooking all the rented tuxes or prom dresses,
rebooking limousines,
rebooking security.

A school calendar is typically published before the school year begins. They should have made their wishes known long before May.

Ok. So the Muslim students petitioned to change the date of prom and the school said no. Why is there a thread bitching about it?

Why are you addressing me? I didn't make the thread.

There are threads all over this board about stuff that has happened and been addressed. Why shouldn't there be a thread?

Good lord. They asked to change the date so they could enjoy prom. School denied it. Everyone is fine.

Same reason liberals keep saying Trump colluded with Russians? Because Trump.
Or Trump was going to send gays to camps? Because Trump.
Or Trump was going to send AA's back to the plantations? Because Trump.
Because Trump lies while no other politician ever has? because Trump.

Shall I go on and on and on?

Hypocrites. You can tell lies and hold on to conspiracies all day every day about Trump and that is all well and good. But talk about a protected group of the liberals and people are mean and hateful.

You can.

And I'll probably agree with you.

I'm just glad you all can admit that you are just like the liberals you all claim to hate now though.

Honestly, I have less an issue with them moving the date for a Muslim holiday ( I mean, if we had a Christian holiday around that time I'm sure they would avoid it ) and more regarding the fact it is on a lunar calendar and therefor constantly changing. That being said, Jewish holidays are also on the lunar calendar (what is with some religions basing these things on the moon anyway??), and we've managed to work around those.

My big beef is that they waited until the last minute. Had they done it at the beginning of the year there probably would not be a problem.

Yes. I would be willing to bet that if you looked carefully, most if not all of those same students do not adhere strictly to the rules of Ramadan.

well Ramadan dates are not set and change by the lunar calendar, so they didn't know the dates at the beginning of the year

did you even read the article?

Leave their home country because it was an uninhabitable shithole.

They move to the west and their highest priority is making their new home exactly like the one they left.

Its like the new yorkers who move to Florida to get out from under massive taxes yet vote straight democrat in Florida elections...well its like that without the blowing people up, incest, and child rape.
