How about no. Stop giving away free shite and free money and get inflation in check. I don’t want stimulus money or anything for free and I don’t want anyone who wants those things to feel welcome in this country anymore. America was great without freeloading

I don't want free shite, but I will gladly take back some of the money the damn government has stolen from me and wasted for the last 40+ years.

I’d happily take a $5k tax credit. Just handing out a check is a bad idea.

Same here. For me personally, some kind of tax credit for paying child support and carrying children on insurance would help me.

$5,0000 checks

Comma in wrong place, or extra zero added?

Either way, as much as Mrs. Axe and I could use some extra coin right now, I'd be happier to see the budget balanced and the deficit paid down. Not more payments that are basically stimmy checks. Why give away everything we're saving?

Define taxpayer

Exactly. Should only bet net payers after adjustments and credits. Many get 100% refunds on withholdings and then even more with child credits.

Lower our taxes instead and throw the people responsible for all this shite in prison.

Can you enlighten us?

Sure

Musk's baby DOGE has already shown gross incompetence by misreporting SS information (claiming these dead people were being paid when they were not) and firing people they should not have fired (nuke weapons workers).

He is now trying to cover his arse by "floating the idea" (i.e. not proposing legislation, or really doing anything) of paying us money to make us happy.

It’s so strange tax payers want the government to keep it and put it on the debt…why?

Because debt size has an impact on USD valuation. The more outsized the debt, the larger the tail needed at auctions for buyers to buy new debt (think of it loosely as "the more interest the Treasury has to pay").

Along with that, the more the debt is paid down, the less the federal government is having to pay just to service the debt. The less the federal government has to pay just to service the debt, the less money it needs, the sooner taxes can be lowered or eliminated.

You didn’t answer my question.

I’ll try again:

Do you want to raise taxes? If so, which earners or income levels? Explain.

Are you for cutting gov spending and attacking the debt? Explain.

Which is also our money.

People always confuse the issue. The debt is owed mainly to US citizens. So I'd rather have my money now, than repaid over a 25 year period

People making billions and hundreds of millions should pay the most taxes.

Imagine complaining about giving money back to taxpayers under the guise of faux conservatism lol taxpayers didn’t create the debt and trillions has been wasted on other nations, illegals, and free loaders but giving back to the ones that deserve it is too far. If it weren’t for the hordes of fake budget hawks how would ever have elected such great political leaders when it comes to reducing spending? It’s almost as if it’s just empty words and rhetoric

High earners are already paying the most taxes. I’d guess you get a refund at the end of the year, yes?
