I’ve heard countless “leaders” offer the suggestion/alternative of placing Confederate statues inside of a museum, rather than leaving them displayed in parks, squares, downtowns, etc.

Texas A&M’s former President, Dr. Robert Gates, has put forth that very solution for our Lawrence Sullivan Ross statue on campus.

Yet now we’re going after statues inside of museums?

I’m past the point of being angry and disappointed; I’m numb to it all.
If a person’s life is so empty that he loses his mind over a statue that he may pass once in a blue moon ... there’s nothing I can do about it.
I’m done.
My Xanax isn’t strong enough to deal with this stuff any more.

Did you read the article? This issue is the statue’s depiction of the Native American and African American, not Teddy Roosevelt himself.

They are renaming a hall in the museum in his honor. This is not an attack on Teddy Roosevelt’s legacy.

Are they gonna abolish the national parks system bc of his role in that as well?

Well said! A lot of people today don't realize his role in the establishment of many of the national parks.

They always use a lot of words to say "we hate white people".

Because that's what all of this shite is about.

The USA has become a retarded fricked up country.

Let's separate and make a society worth living in. Let th trash have their own living space, and get on with life.

I'm sick and tired of living around people who hate white people and whose entire outlook is informed by that hatred.

T.R. helped with the expansion of the US in the Pacific and the US was a mini empire under his watch. So he’s an evil racist.

It doesn’t exist.

In fact, this NYT article is very troubling: LINK ]Cities Want to Remove Toxic Monuments. But Who Will Take Them?

Good God,

It's time to start piking these progressive miscreants. Now they are all in a contest to outdo each other with outlandish mischief in order to garnish 15 minutes of fame.

I'm actually curious about why they made the statue depict the guys on the sides like they did. It looks more like an act of solidarity than anything.

From Wikipedia:

For Arts of Peace, Fraser made a pair of statues of Pegasus depicting the themes Music and Harvest, and Aspiration and Literature. This equestrian monument should therefore be seen in that context, with Roosevelt mounted on Pegasus, though in fact he is "in the garb of a hunter accompanied by two pedestrian guides representing America and Africa

I'm not whining. I've seen this coming for decades. I've known for decades that we were headed in this direction.

This is pathetic. Teddy may be one of the greatest Americans of all time. Anyone that hates Teddy has never read about the man.

Yet no cries to change the name of the Democratic Party who literally fought a war to keep slavery.
