Knife control is already a thing in Europe. I believe the UK in particular has a lot of restrictions on possessing knives of all kinds.

This is def a UK thing.
Professional footballers get held up and held hostage in their own homes with knives all the time.
You dont hear about that shite here because the footballers here have fricking assault rifles. No 120lb bitch from Somalia is taking you and your family hostage with a knife.
We already have evidence all around the world that when you arent armed they will just come into your house and take your shite and murder you.

Need to ban hatchets too. I was splitting fat wood I found in the woods and the hatchet slipped and cut my finger.

Jamaica proves the point. Over 20 years ago, they banned all private firearms because they had a murder rate of 25/100,000. The put into place draconian special police, courts and jails for those caught with a gun.
Now their murder rate is 44/100,000 and the weapon of choice is a gang of young thugs with machetes. That's what happens when your home owners, business people and good subjects are disarmed and rendered helpless in the face of criminals.
