An MS-13 gang member is accused of attacking a transgender woman in a Los Angeles park — and officials say the assault is part of a disturbing trend.
Gabriel Orellana, 19, faces one count of battery likely to produce great bodily injury in connection with the Thursday attack, The Los Angeles Times reported.
It’s the fourth time a member of the violent street gang has been linked to an assault on a transgender woman in MacArthur Park since August, according to the report.
Orellana, and another suspect who has not been charged, allegedly asked the victim why she was there — then hurled slurs at her and beat her to the ground, the article said.
At one point the men yelled, “We don’t want gays in the park,” according to the report.
The victim was reportedly taken to the hospital to get stitches.
Last year, MS-13 member Donoban Fonseca was reportedly charged with three counts of attempted murder after he stabbing two transgender women and another in three separate incidents between August and October.

Yeah, I think it means it's really a man that thinks it's a woman. But I'm not always sure.
