I’m in favor of Israel as a geopolitical ally, but they(and all other nations) must not be allowed to exert influence via subversive tactics e.g via obbying and campaign finance, etc.

This deal isn't Biden, Trump or any combination of the two. This is all Israel. It's always been Israel.
From the beginning it was believed by me and maybe some others that when the time came, Israel would lift its boot from the Hamas throat and allow its enemy to live.
Isreal needs and wants its enemies. What is Israel without them? To put a finer point on it. What is Israel to America without its enemies?
The entirety of the Israeli identity is consumed by victimhood, and if they're not being victimized then why should America give a shite about them?

The terrorists will eventually break any peace deal so after the hostages are released Israel can resume the destruction of Hamas.

Buuuuuutttt Trump brokered it. This deal is amazing, phenomenal. People are saying no one else could have gotten this type of deal. I mean think about it The Israelis get 10 dead hostages and some almost dead hostages back......and they withdraw. If you're not seeing the win here then you must be tired of winning.
Hamas says, Cool!

Maybe it will force Netanyahu out. This needs to happen before he takes Israel down. Maybe this is why Trump posted the Jeffrey Sachs video talking bad about Netanyahu.

It gives the HamasHoles the nucleus to start another war in two years.

I bet there’s more to the deal than we know. Probably inserting tracking devices into the released terrorists

Why should he bother with it at all. This is Israel's war and Israel's problem. We owe them nothing.

Doesn’t this just incentivize Hamas terrorists to kidnap more Israelis in the future knowing they’ll get more of their soldiers back?

Netanyahu is probably out at the next parliamentary elections. He's not getting any younger and there is a sizeable portion of Israelis who are tiring of his Schick. The greater fear though is the religious based parties in the Knesset that enabled him to get back in in the first place. They hold the balance of power right now unless Likud takes a real drubbing.
The risk would be that Netanyahu is out, but Likud maintains with a coalition still made up of mainly hardliners. Then nothing is gained. I don't see a plausible scenario where we significantly reduce aid to Israel in even the medium future. If Labour wins , then this becomes a smart move.

i'm still perplexed how israel has not been able to wipe out hamas yet since Oct 7th. they have all the high tech equipment, fighter jets etc vs a rag tag militant group armed with only AKs and DIY rockets made from water pipes. they should've wrapped this up weeks after they invaded
