You know what else you can’t do at school? Have a sign that says bong hits for Jesus.
Now let's talk about public libraries, since these rules also would apply to them.
Do you have a problem with public libraries outlawing stuff? Cause this bill does that as well.

Ever heard of a locker? Just because a kid checks out a book doesn’t mean it’s coming home in a booksack.

Why does this matter if your child isn't exposed to this (cause you put them in a Catholic School)
Because we actually care about harming other children as well, you disgusting Groomer.

Yes, but I wouldn’t oppose to reasonable age restrictions on checking out explicit content.

You want your kids looking at it fine, buy it yourself.

Personally, I would stock it at high schools but not primary schools. Middle school is debatable.
Canterbury Tales is written at a level beyond grade/middle school anyway.

Yes, children shouldn't have access to playboy magazine.
Are you a book banner?

So they are going to read it in school at lunch and hide it away in their locker in the evening? If a kids checks a book out of the school library, he is going to bring it home to read, mainly because our schools don't give enough time to free reading during the school day.
Free reading isn't on the iLeap test.
I expect better from you, kingbob. Most of these other posters are low-IQ trolls, but you present yourself as intelligent.

Which public school libraries in Louisiana house gay porn in them?

You have to realize at this point, if you give liberals an inch, they will take 17 miles.
Considering most librarians are far, far left, they will 100 percent use this to deem just about anything conservative to be "obscene".
These things never, ever, ever work out the way the right thinks they will. It ALWAYS bites them in the rear end.
You do not want to give librarians the chance to deem something as "obscene". Trust me.
There is a pendulum effect at play here. It used to be that books containing anything even remotely controversial would be banned (To Kill A Mockingbird, for example). Over time society pushed back against such over-zealousness. As that time went on though, it went to the other extreme to where now there can be books in elementary schools graphically showing (and/or teaching) kids various sexual techniques. The pendulum's momentum towards extreme allowance has started losing momentum and is now slow enough that it may be on the verge of moving back the other way. Eventually, it will reach its old peak of over-zealous banning, then reverse. Rinse and repeat until society falls apart or some regime takes over then forces one extreme or the other.
There's always resistance to momentum change, but those who fail to recognize that this is nothing more than a natural pattern are in for a lifetime of angst and frustration.

Yes. I read books in class all the time and stored them in my locker so I would have less crap to haul home since my house wasn’t a short walk from the bus stop.

On my phone and don't feel like looking it up, but I've seen the illustrations. Don't worry, you'd have liked them. Super inclusive. It was cross racial and one was missing a limb.

I would rather public libraries be a reflection of that community. If the community surrounding the library wants or does not want certain books, or wants certain materials in an adults-only section (and monitors that area to keep children out), then that's how it should be.
One size does not always fit all.

So you can’t name any but you search for pictures of gay porn?
Noted.

If none of them do then this law shouldn't result in any sandy vajayjays.

Conservatism preserves social order. Child porn is in opposition to social order.
