From one of the responders to the tweet:

Trump getting 28% of the black vote in that survey. The cross tab data is fascinating.

28% is game over for that state. 14.1% black.

I don't believe 28% black.

but even 18% would be huge

Thank you, Governor Half-Whit, aka, “Joe’s friend in Michigan”.

Whitmer might be Biden's downfall.

Michigan is SUCH a tough nut to crack, so I don't know where I stand. Didn't Trump win in '16 by ~20,000 votes?

I posted this last night, with some anecdotal evidence of a society's will deadened by Governor Whitmer:

Why would a black lie about voting for Trump just to skew the poll? Only us Trumpers do that.

You are assuming it is Whitmer that has deadened their will and not the last fifty years of the Detroit Lions.

In my life time no Republican has garnered that much black support. Seems suspect because it has never happened.

Your point about society's will being deadened by Whitmer is a good one, but keep in mind that the lockdowns have disproportionately affected the African-American community. Would not be surprised if the lockdowns became the overwhelming factor in Republicans making some inroads into the African-American vote.

I remember Hillary was up by something like 21% against Bernie in Michigan back in 2016. Bernie won the state.

And no Republican has done as much for the black race in that time either. That's them saying that, not me. Some even say a Dem prez hasn't done for them what Trump has. Not all blacks want to live on welfare.

That is not debatable and I agree. But the Democrats have a hold on black people. They pull the race card and many other tricks. Just will believe when I see it.

I wouldn’t put too much stock in the opinion of one waitress. People in the service industry are, by and large, liberal by nature.

True. But the State can suppress it nearly completely, if you believe 1984 (G. Orwell)

Good point. But the lack of a crowd was my main observation, on such a momentous evening, amongst some of the most loyal and proud fans in all of sport.

And a few other conversations and observations too.
