Ukraine faces a fresh political and governance crisis following August 2026 raids and arrests by anti-corruption bodies targeting high-level money laundering and state embezzlement linked to the presidential office.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy promptly dismissed Deputy Chief of Staff Iryna Mudra as National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) uncovered a criminal network laundering roughly 150 million hryvnias.

This internal pressure intensified when the recently ousted defense minister publicly called for wartime national elections, compounding political friction alongside parliament’s controversial blocking of key European Union integration anti-corruption bills.

How many times has this guy fired people close to him for corruption.....no doubt giving them a golden parachute to keep their mouth shut as they laugh counting the US millions.

Wonder why that is?

Apparently, there are some crazy vids lately of guys fighting off recruiters. I think they are seriously looking at dragging old women into it, too.

Note that zelenskyy has declared martial law and is essentially dictator as long as he wants to be unless there is a coup

He ended elections

If he would allow elections again, he wouldn't even be there.

He’s on super thin ice. There is going to be a revolt within the ranks before long. Only a matter of time

Are we still sending them money?

I think we still do under Trump, but not as much as under Biden.

Need to end that immediately.

Exactly what the Democrats want to do here. And you know they want to do it because they accuse Trump of wanting to do it.

From what I understand Ukrainian law prohibits elections during a time of war. Unless they change the law Zelenskyy will be in office until the war is over and some kind of peace deal is achieved. I think it’s safe to say that guy will be President for a while.

Remember when they televised giving the old ladies AKs to show everyone would fight to the final breath to save the motherland? …Only to learn a year later that Kyiv has the craziest nightlife and social media presence for the under 30 crowd in Eastern Europe.

He initially declared martial law at the beginning of the invasion. Three months in at the time, it had to be renewed; the Rada took over the declaration and has renewed it since then.

Remember when anyone who dared to call into question the money we were sending to Ukraine was immediately attacked as unpatriotic and/or a conspiracy theorist? Even though we saw them using our tax dollars to purchase luxury items like a Rolls Royce.

I know Trump is supposed to be considering on allowing Ukraine to build its own Patriot Missiles inside Ukraine. If he signs off on it then the defense company that makes the Patriot can then help Ukraine to start building its own Patriot Missile systems. I have not heard anything on this lately but it’s waiting on the approval of Trump and I know that Zelenskyy was pushing him hard to allow them to do it.
