This pisses me off every time I see these statements of gender parity shite. I work in a manufacturing plant and I see single men who make $200K or more because they bust their arse at a hard physical labor/craft job. They work a shitton of hours and go on the road for weeks at a time. I dont see any women doing this work even though if they had the skill could walk up on any of these jobs because of said gender employment gap.

In my plant and every other one I have been too if a woman wants to work one of these jobs they would get 100% of the same pay as the man next to them. They just dont come to fill these jobs.

I dont see any single women making that kind of money unless they are a doctor or other professional type and those are rare too.

A guy I worked with was in his early 50, he had a heart attack, fell down a flight of stairs, then while he was recovering a few weeks later his wife served him at work with divorce papers and got the house.

Dude went from having 2 kids and a house to a shitty little apartment and a damaged heart in a couple months.

A man can work his whole life, pay every house note, save for his retirement, and be a year a two from it, and his wife can leave him and take half of all he’s acquired during their marriage. He has no protection from her whims.

Women carry far more debt than men do. A big issue is when they go to college and take on big tuition debt they get degrees in nonsense. Because of that they go into careers that pay crap wages and makes it tougher to pay off those loans.
