The state of Georgia should remove all tax breaks given to the Braves. EVERY. LAST. ONE.

On top of that if the state has anything to say about the stadium, prevent the Braves from playing.....show these fricks real hardball.

Honest question: what are the chances the Braves aren’t called the Atlanta Baseball Team by the end of the year?

All over simply requiring a fricking ID to vote in elections.

I'm fine with this.

Not being allowed to hand out water to people in line is beyond stupid.

Limiting the number and hours of drop boxes is asinine, as long as you are going to allow absentee voting. I could see an argument for forcing all voting to be in person (and with an ID), but if you are going to allow absentee / mail-in voting... there should not be limits like this.

As well as, the ban on sending out unsolicited absentee ballot applications... who cares? Why is this a thing?

Many of other changes... voter ID requirements, shorter runoff periods, more state control over elections... I 100 percent support.

Good for the Cobb County taxpayers who were on the hook for paying for security for the prima donnas no longer are.

You can’t spell MLB without BLM.

I'm shocked it hasn't already happened to be honest. As soon as they do I'm burning all my Braves gear and shipping it to the ballpark.

You realize that the twitter mob and facebook fiends maybe represent 3-4 % of the population at its most influential.

Of the three big sports... MLB players and coaches are FAR more conservative than NFL/NBA.

Agreed. There are parts that are simply stupid. That said, the stupid parts are t so significant they warrant a national reaction as if Georgia passed a law allowing lynching POC for trying to vote. There’s still no reason ANY person with a right to vote in the state can’t do so.

That’s my real beef. Is this really a hill worth dying on MLB? Not handing out water in voting lines gonna stop the world from turning?

I hope the county and the State of Georgia frick the Braves on this. Eliminate tax incentives, jack up their rent on the stadium the next time it comes due. Make their existence miserable. If MLB wants a war, give them a war. Piss off one of their franchises for the actions of MLB at large.

I cant see how MLB comes out ahead in this. Their dwindling fan base is much more conservative than the national average. The "outrage" here is from a very small portion of the population, of which I cant imagine very many are baseball fans who would watch the all-star game. In contrast, this decision offends many of the fans who actually would watch or attend the game.

I disagree with the Rangers opening their stadium to full capacity, but at least they are in touch with what most of their fans want (other than a team that can win).

Hopefully the backlash from this will carry over into other areas too.
