Think long term, buddy. There are already more registered dems than republicans and it will only lean more that way with the changing demographics. Gerrymandering and voter oppression will only work for so long

It beat good ones as well, you are correct against good teams that had similar/better athletes it failed miserably. Ole Miss would much rather have Miles than Luke currently, and I know Matt and his family...but thats besides the point.

Love the people early in the thread saying it would be "close". The only thing this speaks to is MS GOP has to get their ducks in a row like right now or Hood has an even better chance of winning.

Yeah Matt just isn’t a head coach it isn’t his fault his boss is a bumbling idiot. Hood will win if Tate is the guy. Everybody hates that guy. If Housmann is the candidate I think he wins. Jim wouldn’t be so bad though I have some good buddies who work for him.

Yeah I really really wish he had gone GOP when everybody else fliped, he is actually a good guy and will not bring his election into some pit of misery and mudslinging in the way national dems will want him too. It will be interesting to see how much money the Democratic governors put behind him, it will be tougher because you had Gillum/Abrams lose where big money was spent and then you also have an incumbent in Edwards that will get a lot. I find that race a lot more fascinating than this one. Will be a lot like WV imo and Manchin. Hood obviously is not on the level on Manchin in terms of name recognition and power but he is the best possible Dem in a red state

CNN reporting this election may not be over as Hinds County still showing over 50k votes uncounted. Thus far, Espy is pulling over 80% of the county. Combined with two Delta counties still at 0%, this could pull within the margin for recount.

Reeves will still win, and you are not the first to say that so do not pass it off as saying so

67k vote lead. The most allowed votes is under 900k based on the last election. Insurmountable to even be within sniffing distance.

You realize that most of the MS Delta and River counties are overwhelmingly African American some well over 70%

And the population in some such as Jefferson, Sharkey and Issaqueba are less than 4k
