There was no way Derek Chauvin could get a fair trial in that jurisdiction. The outcome was determined before the trial was ever held and evidence had no role in it.
If the coroners report did not support the verdict, then there was no murder.

No it wasn’t. He is exactly right. Passions were so high that the cop had to go to jail for life or else the country would have had civil strife.
I am one who believes that the cop should have gone to jail but not for life and not for murder. Floyd was killed primarily because of the drugs he took. What the cop did was brutal, and he should have been severely punished for it. He should have lost his job and pension, and he should have served a year or two in prison, imo.
