Venezuela or some dem run city after they looted and burned the grocery stores.
All over
It’s the fact that it was free
My neighbor got 8 gallons of milk & tried to give me one, they are trashy AF & took it because it was ”free”
If kids are starving it’s because parents are selling SNAP cards or wasting the money on expensive foods & not feeding their kids
Like most of the other issues in this country it boils down to parenting

Hawaii in general is one of the most expensive places to live in within the US because it is a goddamn island chain and almost everything is imported.
This is partly why Spam is such a common thing over there, as it is a cheap meat product they can use in about everything.

I mean, not that there is anything wrong with Spam...

My point is that it is kind of a way of life out there in the islands.
When Samoa got hit hard some years back, they talked to The Rock and got him to cut a check for a huge amount to a grocery store in Hawaii to buy a ton of spam and other staples like rice.

Beat me to it, has nothing to do with “need,” has to do with “free.” The photos of the lines showed plenty of nice vehicles. Can afford a payment on a Lexus SUV, you can afford ramen noodles.

It was happening in dallas earlier in the summer. Haven’t heard anything recent.
I saw that too. I feel for people suffering, I really do. But I have volunteered for similar programs, and I can tell you with certainty...
Middle-class Mexicans will go through a LOT of effort and waiting for free stuff. More effort than the freebie is worth.
Same for poor Mexicans, blacks and whites too. And I am not talking about destitute/hungry people... I am talking about a lower-economic-class family that will sit in a LONG line for free food and stop by the tattoo parlor on the way home from the food bank and drop $300 for some fresh ink and/or a $75 bedazzled/jeweled phone-case at the Cricket next door to the tattoo parlor.

Same thing I've seen.
People do stupid shite for the moniker of "getting it free"
I’ve seen it here in the Ms Delta. Every Friday they bring in 18 wheelers from the usda and hand out boxes of food. Line is usually 2 miles long. Town of 8,000 people
Of course it’s 98% a particular poor demographic here and not representative of the entire country
