It is just pleasant to see a person I consider to be intelligent having to argue with the same dimwits who argue with me every day ... and doing it well.

Would you walk up with a smile and an extended hand, or would you sneak up stealthily and have your weapons ready?

I'd have some idea of where the hell I was before pulling a gun on someone.

I have never seen this one before. It is amazing how they all think this is some video game where they willingly sat there and threw their hands up and surrendered. The level of stupidity is stunningly amazing.

I think he is arguing just for the sake of arguing right now. I think we are all agreed that Mexico and the United States are at war right now. I think that was the point he was making. Or maybe not.

That is fricked up.

I suppose all that military budget is directed to the ME.

It'd be like private sector folks going look at my new flip phone in 2019.

you train with shite equipment and get the good stuff on deployment most the time

unless you are with JSOC or SOCOM

then their is no budget

We provided security for a signal relay site once. Pretty sure they still had vacuum tubes and shite. I was surprised.

We need to call Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro to really get the shite kicked off right

They should've never been put in this position to begin with. They had no business patrolling with sidearms and I would bet that they weren't loaded.
I am not in favor of using Regular Army troops for these missions. And I would agree, this was a poorly planned and executed mission. Fortunately no one lost their lives

As a member of the national guard I've been put into the field without ammo more than once. Also bad results have already happened in that area when a patrol shot a 13 year old boy that was hunting rabbits on family land. The Border is a very difficult place to operate but putting soldiers at risk isn't the answer.

Look this shite has been going on for years it’s nothing new.. I work for a gov agency ( not saying which branch) and we have had our run in with their federal wannabe cops, to the point where we have
Had to disarm them and get there consulate involved. The army personal that they mentioned are the national guard.. look I have a lot of good people that work for the national guard and they have told me that the guard that was sent to the border are the low of the low when it comes to the guard.. in certain POEs that we have come to protect in case illegals trying to rush, the guard is usually playing PS4 or Xbox in the lounges instead of sirvalence or watch.. I went to go help out The Eagle Pass POE setup blockades Incase of a rush and the guard was no where to be found unless you looked at the break room. Those army personal were probably guards playing with there phones and where caught by the Mexican Federal cops with there pants down.. nothing new about them.

Why are they even out there? Playing with a video game while you're in the field on patrol or on guard duty should be an article 15 on the spot.

Where are the officers and NCOs? They obviously don't expect anything to happen or wouldn't they be more alert?

These are the kinds of guys that you don't give them ammo but their leaders have failed them.

Because the guards that were sent to Border are supposed to be watching the borders to help border patrol or CBP to minimize th rush of illegals but even at they don’t really do what they are supposed to..

CBP ICE the Marshalls and Border Patrol are very understaffed that’s why we called them to help out but it’s not working because they are not even armed

The borders need help of Armed milatary presence to help deter illegals to stay in Mexico just like Mexico has there armed military patrolling the streets..
