So after being shown that you were sucked in to fake news, you edit the OP without changing the title or the content, but adding a weak disclaimer
I don't even care about this story but that's lol

It looks like it qualified to do business in Maryland in 1986 which would be a problem for the story
Maryland Corp Records
Click on the filing history tab and you will see that it only qualified to do business in Maryland in 1986.

Did he say Safeway or grocery store in his book?
And how many copies of his book are being sold now? Might be a nice little bump for him.

That Safeway fits perfectly into her "mid 80's" version of the novel.

Here is the quote from his book --
quote:
“Of course, alcoholics get into all kind of trouble because of their drinking. When they supersede their own tolerance, suffer catastrophic hangovers. These can make getting though the day an Olympic event. This was never more evident to me than when, to raise money for football camp, I spent a few weeks working as a bag boy at the local supermarket.”
I've posted this in another string -- The bigger question is how did she know he only worked there for a couple of weeks if she didn't read his book?
How could she make the statement that you could look back 6-8 weeks from when he worked at the supermarket unless she knew he only worked there for a short period of time? That statement only makes sense if she read his book and knew that he had only worked there for a VERY short period of time.

ETA: apparently the ‘86 date was they date Safeway went public but did exists privately prior to ‘86.
Doesn’t that render your title misleading then GP? It’s plausible that she did see him there in 82
